The Good:
I liked it. Being a "true" story makes it even better. I would love to visit the actual zoo. (Except that the REAL zoo is actually in England, and I don't see myself getting over there any time soon.) Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson carried the movie with their personalities moreso than the script. The other characters were all pretty likeable too.
The Bad:
Like most based on a true story movies, it was somewhat slow and predictable. There wasn't much depth to it. It was heavily pushed as a family movie, but my youngest two were bored to tears, and went off to play.
The Worst Part:
For a movie repeatedly touted as a family film, they could have cleaned up just a little bit of stuff... I am not too strict with what my kids watch, but it still catches my attention and seems inappropriate each time someone says "shit" "bullshit" "dick" and talk about how the youngest character actually still believes in the Easter Bunny... It would be like hearing Buzz Lightyear suddenly yell at Woody "That is total Bullshit!" I know a lot of this paragraph probably doesn't hold much interest for the average BF2S member, but I think it still says something about the overall quality of the movie. When you make it inappropriate for some of your target audience, you could have made a better movie.
An odd thing:
At the very beginning of the movie, one of the characters tells another that they can't eat something because it isn't gluten free. The next scene they are passing out Subway sandwiches. Later in the movie, they frequently eat sandwiches that are dropped off. Also, there are a few other things that seem like forced product placement. Such as someone saying "I accept Visa, but I prefer Mastercard."

Yeah, but Alien 4 is written by Joss Whedon... So obviously it must be good. Just in a really really awful sort of way.
no it wasnt, there was a major plothole and the transition from animatronic to CGI for this film was a mistake. the technology wasn't ready and you end up with a lackluster film that doesn't immerse you half as well as the previous 2 titles. not to mention it shits all over aliens because newt is dead from the beginning, wtf.

I've only really seen the first two. 3 and 4 were watched as background material. Series ends with Aliens imo.
