Robert Rodriguez has reached a new low. Machete is no better or worse than any of the SYFY-made cable movies.

That's sort of the entire point of it, it's a homage to B movies.

They are if you like strippers with machine-gun legs.

I had no idea it was an exploitation /grindhouse film until I started watching it.  Here is QT's favorite grindhouse movies. I have only seen the top four. There is no comparison between the top four and Machete.

Like I said before, I had no idea this was grindstyle type of movie until after the fact but I have seen Rodriguez other action movies and enjoyed his style and end-product. Machete was still very mildly entertaining. 1/5

that movie was possibly the worst production of the decade. Anything above a mediocre 5 is too much praise.

The lead actor (dude from spiderman) was incredible. Easily made the film watchable.

Saving Private Ryan - 9/10

Film makes me sad near the end. I hate that that guy dies by slow stabbing and that nerdy Corporal just does nothing. Really, really hate that bit.
