Tell it to Obama Braddock, not me.

All he was doing is acknowledging the truth about the problems in that community. Problems that everyone knows exists. Nothing more and nothing less. You call him a racist for it and you call me a racist for agreeing with him.
But he directed his comments at the entire black race in America...are you saying that doesn't reinforce stereotypes in the mind of racists and detract from the achievements of successful, socially responsible African Americans?
I feel he directed his comments to every black person that is guilty of his words. That or he is speaking to the black community as a family, and this family has a problem, and this problem is hurting the image of the family and it can not be ignored any longer.

Either one or both, it still is the truth and maybe racial, for the sole reason he is speaking to a race,  but it certainly is not racist per the context you are using.
Well black people are no more a family than white people lowing. You can't just direct a load of criticism at a huge group of people and not expect some of them to get annoyed.

If my Taoiseach bundled me in with every chav in the country just because we share the same skin colour I would not be best pleased either.

I agree, but the white community does not have the issues that the black community has, you have even admitted this, so why would he be a racist for acknowledging the truth, just like you did, and trying to bring awareness to the issue? Asa matter of fact, I think the black community except for Jesse Jackson, has had mixed reactions, with a significant number supporting his comments.

Because his comments refuse to acknowledge all the hard working, socially responsible African Americans. He is tarring the entire black community with one brush with statements like that.

He should have been more like you lowing and spoke about it on a purely individual level without bringing race into it!

OK, that's the 'second source' I thought everyone meant. ( 'second source' - this all becoming a bit 'dodgy dossier', isn't it?)

Anyhoo, would Cam (seeing as you appear to now agree with lowing) or the mighty lowing himself, please point out exactly where in said second source it states anything that even implies racism on Obamas part.
JESUS CHRIST!!!...........I do not think Obama is a racist! Even the OP title says "according to YOU".

The purpose of this OP was to show how easily the racist card is played in an argument.

Obama speaks the truth and is labeled a racist by Cam and Braddock....I disagree
Well, it was you that created the OP (and yes, I checked this time) - you that drew the comparison.

I understand your point, and I'm glad you don't see Obama as a racist either.

The point, I believe, of your OP was so that you can say "But you all called me a racist for saying the same thing!"

However, your past statements and Obamas are not the same. As has already been explained by myself and others.

Hmmmmmm, pretty much what I have said boiled down to people in the black community need to take responsibility for themselves and their actions, ( meaning those that do not need to start doing so) this comment was made in a thread that was about the black community, so the comment was in context with the thread, and appropriate to it.

Tell me how Obama meant something different?
