So anyway, just went to visit my uncle whilst I'm home, and he's traded in his BMW Z4 toycar for a new swish-looking Nissan 350Z. I always thought these cars were trash, but they look up-close- his is one made by a custom manufacturer, like AMG is to Mercedes... can't remember the name, begins with an 'S'. It's in a sick gunmetal-grey colour with gold brake calipers and dark-chrome rims. Very nice.

Bearing in mind this 350Z is pretty sweetly reworked; it's like comparing an M3 to a normal 3-series, or something like that. I love it, to be honest... the design is sharp.

I've never liked the BMW Z series tbh, nor have I been a fan of BMW for anything other than "everyday" cars. If I wanted to see something on a track, I'd rather watch a Fiat 500.

For a toycar, I'd personaly get a souped up Mini or a Mazda MX-5.

350Z's are supposed to be awesome handling cars. Nothing cheap or chavvy about them at all. That said, I can't say I'm a fan of the looks and there's other cars I'd buy over one. Much better than the Z4 though.

That's fucking hot. My mate had a similar one for a while, just without the new rims and low profile tyres. Gorgeous car. He had to sell it though because it may as well have had a large hole in the fuel tank for the MPG he got out of it.

I don't dislike BMW, just they've completely sold out their own 'prestige, limited supply' brand by flooding the Western market with them. They're now cheap, not particularly spectacular, and have become the status-quo for any aspiring middle-class white-collar asshole. Audi's have a bit more sophistication, but are also becoming the new "businessman wanker" cars too. As Jens said (a little naively, but I get his point)- BMW's are just bland, boring 'everyday' cars now, they've sold themselves out, literally.

I still hold my opinion, after seeing one face-to-face and getting to sit in and feel the drive of the 350Z, that it's an awesome little sports car. Obviously not a supercar, but it's hella-fun and is a mean machine. Personally I do love the aesthetic style, I think the way it all slopes back to an angular, compressed back is gorgeous.
