What browser do you use?

I am prowd to say that I use Internet Explorer despite the inevitable flaming that im going to get for it.

1) Firefox sucks
2) This site looks awful in firefox.
3) Internet Explorer Rocks
4) Firefox sucks

In conclusion: I have never got a virus im my life despite using IE.

IMO, Firefox is better than IE.
1. tabbed browsing
2. most sites look better on FF
3. tons of extensions to make browsing easier
4. tabbed browsing
5. tabbed browsing

Only drawback:  some sites (mostly Microsoft) won't work correctly in FF
Fix: IE tab extension

ie still has -a lot- of problems... the tabs are ghetto and actually start a new process for each tab... not -real- tabbing.  FF seems to have a better support base, and as a result is far more stable and fast

I use slim browser, everything that Firefox has, but still uses IE stuff too.

So I get tabbed browsing, above that i have my favourite links and the pages don't look messed up either.

In my view, Slim browser is better than Firefox and IE.

The stats display is totally different between the two browsers, even the colors are different in places!

in FF it looks way over done / In IE it looks clean and clear.

i use firefox becuase it is great for browsing -tabs, extensions, themes and efficiency are all good
i have opera at home which is boring, ugly and unreliable and use IE at university
Its utter bullshit what one poster said about the different appearance on this site - there is none

Actually, there are minor differences in the way the BF2S site looks between IE and FF, but I wouldn't say it looks better on IE.  For example, the Get Stats line is actually a dashed line in IE (which looks worse to me).

First one is FF, right?  To me, that one looks better.  Shows which kit you have the most time with.

The main reason I dislike FF is because ive been a web developer for a long time and all of a sudden comes firefox making half my websites not display properly, some of them are worse then others and the content is all over the place. No matter what you do its near impossible to get a site to look the same in both the browsers. And firefox never supports half the CSS I use.

Kobrakai,

I'm also a huge slimbrowser fan.  All the bells and whistles that FF has but it is built on the IE core.

Opera displays like the first one too.  I've been using Opera for years and I almost never touch IE except when I am forced to use ActiveX (Windows Update, several work-related sites).

I've never had a problem with Firefox in that aspect.  It's just a different standard that you have to adhere too.  Considering that IE doesn't really adhere to any standard, it makes it pretty easy for me.

and this is because Firefox is adhering to (most) standards of the W3C while as IE uses custom tags etc that were introduced by MS to win the war against Netscape.

If you are a serious web developer and check your html formatting through the w3c validator it should look fine in Firefox. Besides: there is a reason why "all of a sudden" Firefox came along and snatched ~10% of IE's userbase (so far). There has been development since Firefox surfaced but before that nothing was moving along what so ever. It needed Firefox for Microsoft to realise that Tabbed Browsing was a smart thing.

In the end it's about competiton that drives the companies to make better products so the best thing for us comsumers is when there's a couple very good browsers around so everybody has to make their browser better be it opensource or not.

Amen

Firefox pwnz. I have never had a problem with websites in FF. And, IMO, this site looks better in FF than in IE.
