Seiko watches aren't that expensive. A friend of mine is a real expert on watches and he never mentioned Seiko as one of the TOP, top brands. He payed 5000€ for his, dunno what brand.Lynx14 wrote:

accurate to +/- 20 secondsa month, without using the automatic calibration tool (picks up a radio signal sent from somewhere else in the UK (theres several time stations so to speak in the US too) which sends out a signal with the exact time. I always end up correcting people/places on their dodgy timekeeping.

Only problem is the clasp is on its way out so one side locks down as its meant to whilst the other doesn't, as a result it keeps snagging on things.
Only cost me £40 so i don't mind considering i've had it for about 18 months and it gets a fail amount of beatings.

Seiko are the bottom of the scale for 'nice' watches but they are nice. TAG and weil are probs a bit higher, then rolex and omega better still. Then there are stupid ones that cost more than a house..Sup wrote:

Watches are over-rated. I mean, a watch for functionality is fine, but people that spend obscene amounts of money on a watch as some sort of 'bling' accessory or status-statement have serious ego complexes. No offense to anyone that does justify spending thousands of pounds on a few cogs with shiny bits stuck on the front.
I don't even own a watch, the digital clock on my mobile-phone / iPod tells me all I need to know, and one or the other is always in my pocket or on my person so...
