Well, it did say that apparently an expert looked at it and said it hadn't been doctored; I'm assuming cameras have a similar kind of exif data to photos. And assuming it's correct it'd be hard to make them blink without digital manipulation. That said, it still looks fake as hell to me.
why would aliens waste trillions of alien dollars to visit a planet as fucked up as ours?
do we really want to meet our neighbors anyway? what about alien bacteria? hostilities (on both sides)? Incompatible atmospheric preferences?
I severely doubt that aliens would look like small, big headed, spindly creatures, evolution would have wiped out such a weak creature long before it could have become so advanced...
