Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
oh well if you don't want to discuss it....

and as for "he started it by bashing my country" ...every other post of yours is moaning about how much everything costs over there and how stupid you all are, you can't really blame him for agreeing
I'm getting all flustered. Is it hot in here? Who turned on the heat?
In that case, why aren't you just using the CD drive in your computer? I doubt it spins the disc any slower..Sup wrote:
Its mostly for CDs. I need to expand my musical genre horizon, so I'll be buying some disks online soon, after listening to mostly MP3s the past couple of years. I'm only using it as a transport since the analogue section section can't compare to my standalone DAC.mtb0minime wrote:
Are there even enough SACDs out there to warrant purchasing a player? Then again, you are an audiophile, so I shouldn't be surprised. The average consumer... probably doesn't need them though, right?
I mean, I see the appeal of a physical unit, but in this case I just can't see the point of it.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Because it's a SACD player?Freezer7Pro wrote:

I dunno... i mean, DVDs don;t work in a regular CD drive... maybe it needs a special chip?
Meh. Standard CD's are good enough for me... 44.1K/16bit...

Needed a new monitor.
Going to drop in my 8800GT (<3 burnzz) and my Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic into it.
Going to unlock the extra 2 cores and turn it into a quad core and hopefully get a nice OC (shooting for 3.8Ghz.)

Tritton AX Pro Dolby Digital Precision Gaming Headset
- yeah, yeah, just for gaming on the 360/PS3. I already have the G35 for the PC. Not going to be used for music listening.

Careful, I had a couple sets of tritton headsets, the mic broke on both and their customer service to deal with it is non-existant. They won't even email you back.
Yeah, I read about that issue. Which is why I'm the only one allowed to use them in the household. My son was drooling over them, but no way in hell is he gonna even touch it.Nic wrote:

Oh yeah, I actually bought this last week but forgot to add it to the thread. So I'm going to add it now.

And I'm sure you all know what a SD card looks like.

Holy fucking wow on callen 1s latest update on the 09/10 build. I've posted this build here before, but the guy started making his own PCBs for it now. This whole build is amazing and well worth the read if you have time and are in to building your own comps.

Just ordered a Q9550 to upgrade to. Hopefully the last upgrade I'll need for a while. Not used to this upgrading business; built my first computer, didn't upgrade, then built a whole new one 2.5 years later. Current one is about to turn 3, and has had quite a few upgrades.
Also, figure I might as well install Windows 7 while I'm at it . Have had a legit disc from school just lying around the last year or so or however long it's been . Just haven't had any issues with Vista, and have liked it a lot .
Now to sell the old stuff. Hopefully on Craigslist, possibly on eBay.

I bought the same camera a couple weeks back, also with a 16GB sandisk SDHC card. I'm very happy with mine. How are you liking yours?ghettoperson wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
It seems great so far, not done too much with it, just a couple of test shots out of my window. The real test is going to be Vegas this weekend. Going to try get some video footage with it as well, so I'm going to be curious to see how well that turns out. Going on YouTube clips it looks quite promising.
EDIT: It came very highly recommended though, which is why I got it, so I'm sure it won't disappoint.

For my birthday - Logitech G500
Your birthday is today too? (mine is hehe)
I've started using my G500 about a week ago. I must say, it has replaced my MX518 as my fave mouse.
