Apparently the v2s are more comfortable for longer use, and they come in red, white, and black as far as I know. I got them because they come with a soundcard built in and will work with my PS3 and laptop.
neat... though I haven't used mine for ages

I won't be buying a headset again unless I am forced to do so for inexplicable reasons...

I was very tempted to pick up some DR-GA500s from Sony but I couldnt find anything to say if they worked with the PS3 or not.

I could have price matched that to 143 CAD.

Didn't buy but I got a bluetooth earpiece as a birthday present since talking on a cellphone while driving is illegal here.

That and I'm tired of almost driving off the road while trying to dig my phone out of my pocket

I once went from headset to tabletop microphone.

Never again will I go back to using a headset.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Precisely this.. I've tried countless desk mics and they're all terrible. Plus I'm not an audiophile and would rather have an all-in-one.

Try plantronics?

Granted mine isn't the best thing to wear for long periods, and the sound is meh, but thats probably cuz I don't have a sound card.

Then your tabletop mic sucked.

No. My subjective opinion is objectively correct. If you disagree with me at any time, you're wrong.

He is right though, it was a low quality mic. Still, I like having the mic and headset in one package for simplicities sake. Thats why I buy the headsets with stow-away or removable mics.
