Yeah figured I'd get a blu ray drive when I replace the 8600GT thats going in it with my HD4870 (and replace that with a HD6870 maybe )CapnNismo wrote:
Post some pics once you've got it all together and running. Perhaps you should have bought a Blu Ray drive, though? Ah well, you can always get one later.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

I see no point in getting a Blu-Ray drive at the moment. Movies you can grab off the 'net, and for moving data about it's just too expensive.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
mmm true but internet here is so slow and expensive that disc's still have a purpose.
Fair enough. I keep forgetting that there are places that are stuck in the '90s. I'm considering picking up a symmetrical 300Mbit connection when I move. You poor people with bandwidth and data caps

Hey man, I totally just went from a 10GB to a 50GB data cap. This is a big step forward in my lifemax wrote:

I think I'd kill myself when I hit the data cap after an hour.

Except you couldn't hit them in an hour becuase your speeds would be too low
Thank goodness there are no data caps here in Austria, either. I'd probably kill someone if they put that in.
Considering the cool content that you also get on BluRay discs, I'd still buy them. I do like good special features.

You can dowload the bluray disc image though

I don't even think you can get internet with a max. amount of bytes per month here...
The closest we have to that sillyness is "mobile internet" aka using the GSM and better networks for internet access...

Everything is like at least £20/month and a fixed ammount of texts and minutes. Why can I not just pay for what I use? cunts imo.
In Norway my phone bill is zero pr. month, and will always be zero as long as I call and text for less than £17 a month.

To be fair, we have much, much lower population density than most of Europe so the infrastructure to build new networks is way more expensive.

Forgot about the new legislation, phone companies aren't actually allowed to give out 'unlimited' access anymore, but 500MB. Which is still way more than you're ever going to use. I barely use 10MB on my GPRS phone a month.
My mate phil, in the two years he had his iphone 3g used 2.4gb of data, which is 100mb a monthFinray wrote:

for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
Yea, I don't really see why people complain about mobile data packages. I have 1GB a month and I've only hit 500MB in a month once in the year I've had my phone. The rest of the time I usually connect to one of the ubiquitous wifi networks.
oh, that's not what I meant.Finray wrote:

I want to pay for what I use - I don't use my phone enough to warrant £20+/month packages.
Like, the one I have in Norway now is like so:
8p / minute
4p / text
40p / MB
with the first £17 free, thus I usually pay zero pr. month..
Anything similar in the you-kay?

Yes, it's called pay-as-you-go. And if you don't even break into the £17 margin, you have no friends at homeJenspm wrote:
