A little upgrade for my laptop.
Also, on topic (not worth starting my own), My laptop can connect to my wireless network but it can't get Internet through it. Laptop is on 32-Bit Vista, however the computer network was started on 32-Bit XP (not sure if that makes a difference). I've tried all of windows suggestions, and none of them have worked.

Our company uses Lenovo laptops and they seem to be giving the blue middle finger constantly.
Are you sure its not some software your company installed causing BSOD because I have tons of experience with Lenovos all theway to X300 and they have been rock solid.Ultrafunkula wrote:

A huge old server. Dual 500W power supplies (60A on 12V lol), dual P3s, 768MB ECC SDRAM. It's missing a couple of power boards for the CPU, but I'm gonna see if I can get my hands on some. Notice the sticker to the right; 27-40kg
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Speaking of servers I might be getting my mum's old P3 rig for nuffink.
It's great so far. Typing is very smooth, especially if you prefer laptop style keys (low profile keys). I've yet to notice any slow response time in or out of gaming, but I haven't played anything other than Fallout 3 since I've had it.Nic wrote:

Well, I was reluctant to buy it due to the hefty price tag (newegg lists it for about 80$) but a friend of mine found it at Best Buy on sale for 55$. We both picked one up and since then I've had a chance to try several games on each of ours and haven't really noticed any lag between games on either of our boards. Maybe some of those users had faulty ones, or maybe I just haven't logged enough time with it but I'd say go for it.Nic wrote:

edit: Just checked Best Buy's website, the price is back up to 70$ but it can still be found for 60$ on Logitech's website.

And congrats to Peter's 17.3" LED HD+ Screen. I have a Dell 17" LED HD+ screen as well (1920x1200), and it smokes all of my other LCD's as far as quality and detail. Watching streamed HD and seeing all those glorious zits, scars, and moles are quite unnerving.
