A combination of user reviews and critic responses are making me contemplate getting NHL '09 or using the money for another game instead.

Not hearing very good things, especially about the driving.

And what's worse is Gamestop doesn't accept PC returns...so...fuck.

so far from the reviews i've read it looks pretty solid. it doesn't sound like the MP is anything spectacular but the SP is supposed to be very good. i still think i'm gonna wait a bit til i make my decision though...

so its an 8.5 instead of a 10? that's still good enough for me, 25 hours of play time at least for $50, that's a hell of a deal

Only general bad points are travelling.. (which is personal, i don't mind it at all).. Ehm fast re spawns of enemy's... And repetitive SIDE missions... Heard the story has a slow start but gets quite interesting in the end when you get some choices etc.

In my opinion those are just small flaws, and in most cases, personal opinions on it. It's getting 9/10 or more from a lot of magazines / sites, so i don't see why everyone here is thinking the game is so terrible all of the sudden, of course it has it's bad points but i already kinda expected / heard that so it's nothing new to me since i already read about this before the release. Not sure what some people expected from the game then, think a few people got over hyped

And the multiplayer isn't like Cod 4 or BF2 etc. But from what I've seen so far (Once again, Europe :p), it looks pretty damn fun compared to Crysis, or Bioshock, wait, that didn't even have a multiplayer.. And you should not be buying this game for it's multiplayer anyway.

Just my opinion.
