CoD4 BF2S Server: Hardcore or Softcore?

There has been lots of recent talk about starting up a BF2S CoD4 server.

One of the main argument points is Softcore vs. Hardcore. So which do more people want?
I personally want Hardcore. Two 7.62s in the chest and they don't die??
What do you guys think?

HC is harder and much more enjoyable if it's going to be a small server but the BF2s server is prolly going to be big so put it on normal.

qft, nothing like getting mowed down every time you spawn in a 36 player HC server

HC is not harder. I completely own it up on HC servers with M4+Double Tap+Steady Aim. And why is that? Spray. It's so easy on HC to spray and get results.

If possible Hardcore only on select game modes (ie S&D/ Sab). The rest all on normal. (If we want to, we could also run old school mode for the lulz on like Fridays)

Also either way, friendly fire needs to be off. CoD can be frustrating enough when you don't need to worry about your friend's grenades killing you.

And spraying an M60 at fifty meters and still having most your shots hit is realistic? Hardcore is the most half-assed attempt at being realistic ever.

I like a constant UAV and not having to rely on my team to get 3 kills in a row. If one team is stacked...the other team gets screwed out of a UAV for most of the round.

Oh yeah almost forgot...no crosshairs is just stupid. How is it possible to kill someone at medium range (without a knife) when you don't know where your bullets are going. If you use iron sights...it'll be too late.
