Anyone else listen to it? I wasn't really into it until my piano teacher gave me classical piece that really intrigued me, and that got me pretty hooked.

Personally, I prefer Schubert and Beethoven, but Chopin and Mozart aren't far behind.

So who do you people like? And if you don't listen, go to Youtube and search for Wilhelm Kempff and select "Moonlight Sonata mvt 3." It's really good, possibly the best of its kind.

And if you're too lazy to go to Youtube and search for it yourself, here:

Not really a massive fan but some of it sounds awesome.

'Ave Maria', by Jesper Kyd which you may recognise from the Hitman soundtrack is amazing.

'Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity' by Gustav Holst is epic.  (The English patriotic song I Vow to Thee My Country uses it).
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Go get some variety.  I must be the only guy here who listens to Rimsky-Korsakov.

I like a lot of pieces but I always have a hard time find out what they're called or whatnot because I have no way to describe the songs.

I respect it because it is the basic roots of music, and everything has kind of evolved from it.
But I'm more into the modern rock/guitar based music.

Yep, big fan of Mozart and Holst in particular. I'm getting into choral music now, too.

Get her to play the Appassionata, but not the Pathetique.  Everyone's played the Pathetique.

I'm a big fan.  My favorite piece has to be Beethoven's Fur Elise.

I'm a big fan of Beethoven as well (esp. sonatas 8 and 14).  You have to listen to some Listz as well.  Consolation and Trans etudes Mazeppa are really good.[Then, look up Scarlatti for some crazy accordion music!]

www.classicalarchives.com for some good music (you don't need a membership to listen)
