China will be the next major US rival; they're the only country that poses a real offensive threat to the US, not that it looks like they want to start a war right now. The obvious answer is Iran, but it is almost so obvious that it seems unlikely to happen, if that makes any sense.
lol.. why is Iran obvious? Because we have been acting diplomatically and multilateral for the last two years? I've read these "we are going in" over and over.. maybe, but hardly obvious. Get a grip.
