im not sure you can objectively understand how boring that looks to a non-EVE gamer.
yes i get the strategy, yes i get the teamwork... i have never doubted that.
every clip though from a viewpoint was showing like one ship with one laser firing one crystal on an autoattack, auto-refreshing timer.
that's my point... the combat isn't as engaging as, say, world of warcraft.
all the rest is ancillary and superstructural when the foundation, i.e. how you fundamentally interact and fight other ships, is so dull.

its hard to explain whats so engaging to someone who just doesnt get it It does take work and it does take a different way of looking at it, but horses for courses.
The saying, "Different strokes for different folks," fits well here, I do believe. I like that, while it doesn't have a wasd function and "real-time" instantaneous engagement as WoW, it does have quite a lot of strategy, and MANY things that affect the fight that you do directly control. The bottom line is some people like it and some people don't it's just that simple. You have you opinions and just like any other opinions, they are not easily swayed. You tried it and you don't like it oh well.

So guys, I been trololo'in about in the Tristan, pro frigate is pro! Running Duel neuts with a cap booster, other peeps are quern not impressed when they has no cap after about 12 seconds !

Game really isn't that fun.
High sec is boring.
Low Sec has too many constraints.
Null Sec is decent but it's too difficult to operate solo in there, and fleets just aren't that good to operate in.
Flaming, you remind me of myself in the first few months of the game. Trying to justify why it's fun, but after a while, you may ( not saying you will) end up logging in, spinning your ship around in station, then logging out.
I may give it another try once I finish school, but then again, I may start playing WoW.

Here'a a bit of gay for ya, I self destructed my pod in highsec to get back to null... Forgot to update the clone again, got pod killed thanks to the infamous bubble! Lost my lvl 5 Medium Energy Turret, so now I can't use T2 Medium Lazors.... Gonna take me 9 days to train it back up, filled in a petition and I'm gonna try QQ it back from CCP.

It doesn't need to be defended, the opinions exhibited here are out and out wrong and the people who play/like EVE understand that. For example the combat even beyond preparation is not simple, that is an ignorant statement. I understand that a lot of people still will not like the game, that is a matter of personal taste. But the game does need to be "defended" from ignorance, that is not a fault of the game.
If anything the problem with EVE is the learning curve that keeps people from getting into the game, but that is a direct result of being a deep game that an awful lot of people claim to want out of the gaming industry lately.

What is this I hear about lost SP? I certainly know we don't take kindly to them types around here, I would most certainly revoke their privileges.
