Probably your best bet is to get in league with a support player and defend the TV station on Sharqi with claymore after claymore all the while getting resupplied by your partner in crime. It's not a bad way for the support player to get a badge or two also. This is whoring at its best but you'd be surprised how many times the same player will run into those claymores again and again.

*.dbx files have a size limit that once hit, can not longer be opened. Microsoft has been aware of the problem for years but has never done anything about it. The fun part is that once the limit is reached there is nothing you can do. Some people claim there are some things you can do but don't count on it. See if this is your problem but going to the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
I would like to see a little less arcade and more tactics but not with BF2. In my opinion, BF2 has some inherent flaws that don't work for either an arcade or tactics style game. I would, however, like to see a tactic game using another gameplay other than BF2.
For those who need an example: Some maps have no ticket loss other than kills (no ticket bleed no matter how many flags you have). There needs to be more than one way to win the game other than "whoring it up at the Karkand Hotel". This way you have a collective team vs. a collective team not just an adding of the performance of each individual. In other words, 15 people who happen to be doing the same thing at the same time does not mean you have teamwork.

If you're saying that BF2 DIDN'T take up 100% of your processor before but it is now then you should do the following:
1 - Verify that there are no viruses, spyware, etc. etc. on your compiter. This is unlikely since a virus won't cause another process to use 100% of the processor; it simply runs along side it and uses processing power pushing the usage to 100%. However, it never hurts to start with a "clean" computer.
2 - End all non-essential processes, especially any recently added. Please be advised that if you start ending processes without knowing what you are doing, it is possible to make the computer and Operating System act strangely.
3 - Defrag your hard drive (twice in a row if you are using the defragger that ships with Windows XP)
4 - Purge your pagefile (virtual memory file). Actually, I purge it at every Windows shutdown (a registry setting let's you do this automatically at shutdown). The shutdown will take about 2 minutes longer but I like to start with a fresh restart when I first bootup.
If these things don't help you may want to explore hardware issues including driver issues.

No, they are typcially much more expensive but have little application for Windows-based machines. There are cards that costs thousands and run on other systems such as Alpha- and RISC-based technologies.Capt. Foley wrote:
Ohhhh, if I buy a industrial video card or w/e will it be cheaper/better??? Or if I buy things from industrial suppliers?
yes, they do actually but don't look for them on Tigerdirect. Computer parts have many uses beyond consumer sales. You'd be surprised at the weird video cards that exist for industrial and commercial uses.Janus67 wrote:
get a new computer.
how did you get a 6600gt that is pci. they don't make those.
I own a small computer manufacturing company in upstate New York and I get asked this question by many people including hard core gamers. About 7-8 years ago if you asked me to rank order the best drives I would have said the following:
IBM Deskstar
Maxtor Diamondmax
Seagate (all)
Hitachi
Fuji
Western Digital
All others
But today the standards of the manufactures have become so high due to massive competition that the differences between the drives are so minimal. The better question is not which hardware is better but which service is better if something does go wrong (i.e. you have questions, need to return a faulty drive, etc.). In my opinion, Maxtor is still at the top of my list. I rarely get calls about faulty Maxtor drives but the same can be said for Seagate.
There are two problem you are facing when looking for a good drive:
1 - Crazy Larry - This is a euphamism for the guy that has one Western Digital drive fail on him and suddenly he is spreading that "Western Digital drives suck". Be wary of a sample of one. It seems everyone wishes they were a computer expert these days.
2 - Popular Press - Somewhere there is an article trashing the reputation of every one of the major hard drive manufacturers. Typically, the "tests" they carried out to arrive at this conclusion were hastily carried out and were nothing close to being scientific. They were carried out by people who are paid to create controversy in their articles to keep their columns/jobs.
Sorry to sound so disparate but there is a lot of crap information out there in the mags and on the Internet. Try to find cold, hard facts from reputable sources. But in the mean time keep in mind that the differences in hard drive quality today are minimal.

Actually, that card is already in his/her price range:CookieMonster117 wrote:
