kojima has already announced in an interview that they will make a new mgs game, this time featuring raidens transformation into that "thing" or at least thats the word on the internetz
would like to know the daily power consumption of a beast of a house built like that (like come one, interactive wallpapers wtf)
okay since i know something about this i'm gonna help ya with this, first of all i need to know what kind of modeling he does, is it high poly, scenes, single assets, modeling for games or models for the portfolio or for high poly art. the lot ya know. i work with it myself and i can tell you that as soon as you reach 200.000 tris it's gonna lag and render times are gonna be a bitch, basicly the more powerfull the card the better but it all depends on the task and the complexity of the models. i can get along with my current laptop card which is a 9650 gt and that is gonna be good for a little while with the kind of tasks that i do (game models etc) but if anything like rendering of scenes and similar you will want to have a 8800 or 9800.
basicly if you can give us a bit more info it would be great, or just send me a pm and i'll help ya.
and oh yeah if you want a good feedback from people that would know all this go on game-artist.net and make an account and ask them because they will absolutely have a clue about what's right and what's wrong to buy.

looks mostly like that because it can't be seen from all angles in those shoots hehe, the feel of the laptop is soooooo soft though and is just amazing (rubberi in a nice solid way )
just found some quick pics on the net (google is ya friend)
as stated in the title i have just gotten my new laptop today and i must say that i am exhilarated by it, finally i will be able to play most new games in at least medium graphics and older games like bf2 on the highest settings (even though it's running PR hehe)
one of the things i'm happiest about is the screen resolution which is 1680x1050 on a 15,4" screen, so i will be able to have better overview when creating 3D models and managing other things.
anyway the specs of my Nox A15 Power :
4 GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC6400 800MHZ
DVD-RW / CD-RW SATA
Keyboard DK - Black
WSXGA+ 1680x1050 with Ultra Crisp panel
9 Cell Battery
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8400 - 2,26GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB Cache
NVIDIA® Geforce 9650M GT 512MB GDDR3 (20% faster than the standard 9600 gt)
250GB 7200rpm SATA Harddisk
Intel Pro/Wireless 4965AGN 300Mbit
total: 1000£ or 2100 $
the cost is a bit higher than it would usually be due to the design of the laptop and because it's a danish company that designed it.
i do realise that a desktop would have been better in all aspects both price and what it's going to be used for, but it's gonna be used 6 hours a day at least for school work (not including homework) and that is the reason i choose to pay for the extra design element (and it was the most powerfull 15,4" i could get within my budget)

it's called testing and they are right to do it. imagine the scandal it would be for the FDA if this stuff was a health risk, let them run their tests and make sure it's safe enough for them to guaranty or come up with proof that they actually do have tests that clearly shows no health risks.Macbeth wrote:
They want you to get lung cancer and die rather then try something new. Great right?
preferably i would like my own country to test the stuff before i'd use it, unless we actually had a shared medical approval agency for international approval, which i would approve off (imagine the savings it would make)
finally got back in this amazing game again

just love april the first eh
smoking it doesn't have much effect, although it can be very easily concentrated. takes a bit of time to do but is rather inexpensive but makes you hallucinate for like 20 seconds. friends did it right before the U.S ban hit and they got fucked up tbh.
motherdear, active on the forums and ingame, i know that i have played with both drew and cyrax, but it's a rather long time ago since i've had so much stuff to do
the turbaconducken:

looks terrible
tbh nothing can really prepare you for real world driving (like 100%) unless you have driven an actual car. what i would recommend if you want some practice in handling etc. is to get a ps2 and Gran Turismo (3 or 4) and use that for learning handling, cornering etc. since it's very close to real life. it might not be using a wheel and pedels, but the cars still perform like real life and that will give you an idea on how to take corners and similar (on the road too, not just racing )
and good luck.
and good luck.
yeah it depends on the games though (like bioshock i might like the better grafics instead of better resolution, but i guess i'll have to see when i get it) but bf2 and older games will be played at all high
just to clarify it's a 15.4" laptop with 1680x1050 resolution (won't be playing games at this though, but is nice for that extra crisp detail level when watching movies and doing school work)
thx just what i wanted to know (paying the bit extra because i need the good support that they offer, and the design is absolutely awesome (just an extra)) also it's pretty good for the future since it can be updated both in the GPU (MXM means that i can install another laptop graphics card if i want), RAM, and Harddisk. also the screen is 1680 x 1050 resolution.
the brand name is Zepto (scandinavias biggest laptop vendor (have had one for the last 3 years and no problems so far except for the dvd drive stopped working (no problem getting it fixed)) btw the laptop is at a price of about 1800$ but i do need the laptop both for school and entertainment (games) which it will be able to do quite well for the first little while. just wanted you guys to have a look.
btw i don't know the current exchange prize on dkk to us dollars but it's about 10.200 dkk

i haven't laughed like that in like forever.
can't wait for the results of this (every details is probably going to be laughworthy)
i miss this map so bad, was amazing as fuck in PR, lying in an ambush with manuel claymores and attacking at just the right moment.
jesus christ, this is hilarious, first of all look at the "source" it's the freaking Sun, that as a start doesn't give the story much credibility. secondly there are no statements from any Doctor, locals in the region or even from the government or anything else that says that this has happened. it might have happened, but i wouldn't trust The Sun as my news source.

i'm beginning to wonder if people have any idea what D.Tools does, you do realize that i goes into the system and makes the system think that it has more drives than it actually does (this means editing code in the bios or in windows itself) so assume that windows 7 changed that small part just a tiny bit = D.Tools installer will have an error and will not be able to install because the code is wrong) should be pretty obvious if people read why it asks ya to reboot the pc.
some people need to read what they agree to when they install software.

okay so here's the deal, the computer i'm on right now is a laptop, it's about 2 years and 7 months old and it can run crysis without lag (cept inside the spaceship) on minimum grafics, i do play occasionally and i want it to be able to play the new games (even if on low). saying that a laptop can't last 2 years is bullshit, secondly i'm a student so money is short'ish and i need to bring my computer to school every day, so i could get a very crappy laptop (which i don't want) along with a desktop which will take space out of my room, or i can get a "good" laptop that can do both excel at none. so ignore the stuff about that you would want a desktop and use your knowledge to think of which part will be the bottleneck first, the GPU or the CPU not that hard of a question i'd assume.
i have already decided to get a laptop, but since a lot of the guys in here knows more about it than i do i thought i would bring it up in here.

as said in the title i need some help with choosing the right specs for a new laptop that i want.
i already got on currently
specs:
CPU: intel core duo T2300 (1,66 GHz)
RAM: 4gb DDR2 pc2-5300
GPU:geforce go 7600 (i think it's a 254 mb card)
this is the computer that i am looking at:
http://zepto.dk/Shop/Config.aspx?config … ookid=1079
it needs to be able to run new games in 2-2.5 years (decent in a low setup)
it will be used for games (so the geforce 9600/9650 is what i want (the 1680x1050 res))
for processors it could be any of them as long as it can keep up with the GPU
the harddisk will not be used for any major storage but it needs a proper speed (7200 rpm)
already got a PS3 so i don't think that i need a blueray drive.
so basicly what i am asking is what CPU is should get, and if i should choose the 9600 or the 9650 as my GPU and what CPU is proportional to these cards (no need to go overkill if it aint needed)

proto if you want to give it a try and get the hang of it, i got some dedicated squads a few times a week for me and my friends. we wouldn't mind teaching you the basics and then some. it's really not that bad as soon as you got a good squadleader. but you need a mic to play
PR is the shit to be honest, there is some stuff that needs adjustment, but none of the ones you are mentioning. the reason we got these spawntimes and similar is solely to promote teamwork and it works great. if we had vanilla spawntimes and similar this would not work the same way at all.
funny thing, that's what i'm trying do at the moment.henno13 wrote:

I'm not trying to be insulting, I like America too... I just find it odd because I've always wanted to go to Denmark too and have heard great things about it.
but the flag was a practical joke that was on the forum once and then some of my friends did it and basicly I forgot to turn it back to a proper avatar. i understan the confusion.
but I might want to consider rephrasing some of my tags, symbols etc. hehe

wow, that was hilarious (in a creepy kind of way)
as i have said in former topics on this forum it's a very clear no to this.

I really don't think that it's worth the time, effort and money trying to educate a female soldier. okay maybe they can get around their period and serve as a proper soldier should, but the chances of having a succesfull female soldiers is much lower than of a male since he got 40% more muscle in his upperbody and 30% ind his lower body
http://jap.physiology.org/cgi/content/abstract/89/1/81
first of all girls got to catch up to this disadvantage and then their fellow soldiers have properly already gotten 20/30% more muscle than the awerage man, if not more. simply men can get more muscle than women so it makes no sense employing women who can't compete with a man if he did the same amount of training. it just cost to much money and it puts a stress on the womens fellow Boot camp grunts, because she will most likely have to getting her shit together when all the other lads already is far ahead of her. of course there can be exceptions but they are so rare that they are not worth looking for since you can get 10 men of the same build or higher than the woman at the same cost in recruitment and training.

i really do not get the big deal about stone temple pilots, I went to watch them at red rocks, colorado and i had to leave an hour and a half into the concert because they sucked. plus they had a terrible band to warm up for them.
no offense to people that like them, but plz explain to me why they are so awesome because i really want to understand, then I might even begin to enjoy them too.

it's sad that this man sues for this crap, the only reason i can see that can justify at least some of it was that they promised to hold the phone secure till he got there.
one thing: WOW
tbh play PR, in that game grenades are actually used properly, never as the primary weapon but to flush out buildings or an emplacement, and also they take some time to get out of their pouches which hinders nade spam but still allows you to make a good nade attack if you play the game as intended with teamwork.
woot woot Denmark, and finally Odense produced a kid that was actually worth something (other than myself )
no matter what shahter you are missing the point here.
the ABM shield is purely a defensive capability against a possibly rogue missile. it makes no sense of Russia to install their offensive missiles pointing at europe, the defensive shield can not make a offensive move whatsoever, it would maybe be able to shoot a few missiles down but not many and nowhere near what Russia would already be able to launch and would launch if they decided to attack.
this is purely a move by russia to flex their muscles and nothing else, the shield does not pose any threat to MAD or Russia's already plentifull arsenal of missiles.
look at it like this, if russia launched an attack it would be with a heckload of missiles and the defensive shield would be like a mosquitoe annoying an Elephant. it simply does not make any sense since russia was offered in on the missile shield.
http://www.spacewar.com/reports/Russia_ … d_999.html
quite simply the shield is built for older missiles than what Russia has in it's arsenal, and even the type of missiles that russia got that could be intercepted is in such a bulk amount that it would not matter if it was there or not, it would only matter if it was one or two lone missiles (again Iran would not be able to launch enough decoys to protect a missile against the shield, but russia would be able to to that easily)
but i must admit that it was a dumb move to ignore the ABM Treaty even though it's retarded since it does not serve a purpose, but a signed Treaty is a signed Treaty and ignoring it only makes you look like a bad guy and does not help the view on the US one bit.
