SAS-Lynx = Moderator?

So I was perusing a really old thread when I saw a guy named SAS-Lynx and his member tag says "Scottish Moderator!!!". I didn't see a moderator honor on the side of his post, so I checked the official list of moderators and his name isn't on it.

So my question is this: Who is this guy? Is he actually a moderator? If he is a moderator, was he forgotten about and therefore not given a moderator tag?

I was thinking that too. If that's true, I guess the current mods just forgot to change his member title.

He WAS a moderator, but I think he was in the Army (British) and he had too many time constraints to stay on BF2s.

I actually PM'd chuy about it when I saw Lynx close a thread, because there was no official thread announcing his promotion to mod. He said that Lynx was kind of on "probation" and there were just kind of having a test period, and then lynx just kind of dissapeared, probably because he joined the army like you said.

He's in my MSN contacts list and I haven't seen him on-line on that for ages either - in fact, according to my MSN history log, last time he and I were on-line at the same time was Jan 27^th 2006 - He was talking about joining the Royal Air Force Regiment, so I guess that's where he's disappeared off to.

He is/was a mod here, but kind of retired. I remember he was a pilot and didn't had enough time anymore.

Active mod duty was somewhere between 1 year, 6 months and 11 months ago.

So nothing to worry about

Yes, I remember him as a Mod, I Think he's not one anymore because of the Great BF2s hax of 06' where all the mods were wiped and then reinstated, I think because he wasnt active they didn't do him.

Not really. If they were to become active again then they would be promoted.

All mods were demoted until they set a secure password, (to stop people guessing them or using scripts to guess them). Since only the active mods changed their passwords, only the active mods were reinstated.

I do. It's how I gots on to IRC. Forgotten why but that's what led me to it. Waaay back. Then I stopped using IRC for a bit. Now I r go on there again.

I also remember Lynx. He was a good mod.
