Anyone seen Across the Universe?

I loved that movie. It was a bit of an acid trip at some points...but I personally think they did an amazing job recreating the beatles music so well.

The story line had a few holes in it, but it was a musical, so I don't really think it was that important.

Opinions?

There were parts, though, where you just completely had no idea what was going on...like the circus scene. haha.

I usually can't stand musicals but I found this one somewhat enjoyable. Probably had a lot to do with the fact that they used real songs from the era that fit really well into the storyline. It was a pretty good movie, but I knew 10 minutes in that they were gonna have "hey jude" in there somewhere.

I watched it kind of late at night and I felt like I was on acid for 50% of the movie.

But it was really quite good, I'll have to watch it again when I'm more awake.

Yea definitely...the singing was incredible, but I believe I heard somewhere that one of the actors wasn't the one actually singing? Anyone else hear this? I know a majority of the singers were the actual actors, but I'm pretty sure there was one that wasn't.

From what I heard, all the actors actually did the singing, but they used a lot of cher-synth type stuff so they actually sounded good.
