Alright so I'm 72 out of 532 kids. Is that good in your opinion? My GPA was 3.875.

The idea of ranking people seriously sucks for whoever came last.
After reading the replies I assume it's ranked on "Intelligence".

I was in the top 20 for "intelligence", Football skill, Fighting, Playfighting or wrestling and coolness out of a school of 1200+.

I was dead last out of the people who graduated. The next person below me on the list didn't graduate.
I didn't give a SHIT about school. 1% point above failing was my target for my grades and sometimes, I didn't do it right and failed classes.
That being said, high school was a fucking blast, and I still miss those times 8 years later.

Its more a measure of how much time/effort you putting into it, and while your ranked out of 532...at least 400 of those didn't work as hard as they could, just hard enough to do decent.
Its funny because because my engineering professor said he has had companies come to him for students, and ask for ones that ARENT 4.0 students...They wanted people who hadn't just sat in a book for the last 3 years.

In my school, they don't even give us class rank. Well you are better than 86% of the kids so thats pretty good.

Only the A-grade students in my school are the c00l ones.
In my school I'm tied with 21 other people for rank 1 (4.00 GPA) out of 300-some kids.

If you can say, "I'm comfortable with how hard I worked and the grades I earned" then yes. If you look back and say "dang, I should have tried harder"...well, you've learned a valuable lesson to use in the real world.

Back in the day (last year), I was 12 out of a good 600. And that didn't do shit for me...class rank is worthless tbh.
