Basic rules would be that the cast and crew should be predominantly from your country or the story should be specific to your country or national identity even if it is set in another country, for example 'Saving Private Ryan' is not an Irish movie even though it was filmed in Ireland. Americans and French will have plenty to choose from here but I'll be interested to hear from the more obscure nations. Here's mine in no particular order (Ireland):

1. Adam & Paul - Lenny Abrahamson
2. I Went Down - Paddy Breathnach
3. On The Edge - John Carney
4. The General - John Boorman
5. In The Name Of The Father - Jim Sheridan
6. Garage - Lenny Abrahamson
7. In America - Jim Sheridan
8. The Wind That Shakes The Barley - Ken Loach
9. Bloody Sunday - Paul Greengrass
10. Michael Collins - Neil Jordan

You can start by pissing off Crocodile Dundee

That'll probably do it for us, unless we count all the Hollywood movies produced here.

I can think of 1 movie that is 100% Canadian. Everything and everyone in it is Canadian, I think. That movie is Fubar, and it is the funniest damn movie I have ever seen.

I must check that one out. There's a few other good Canadian films out there...

1. Brain Candy (Kids In The Hall)
2. Videodrome (by great Canadian director David Cronenberg)
3. The Adjuster (by great Egyptian/Canadian director Atom Egoyan)
4. Trailer Park Boys - The Movie (haven't actually seen it but hey, it's the Trailer Park Boys!)

These 5 are classics:

Los olvidados - Luis Buñuel
Como agua para chocolate - Alfonso Arau
Macario - Roberto Gavaldon
Cronos - Guillermo del Toro
Solo con tu pareja - Alfonso Cuaron

These ones are newer that I think they're great:

Amores Perros - Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu
Amarte Duele - Fernando Sariñana
Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas - Antonio Serrano
El callejon de los milagros - Vicente Leñero
Todo el poder - Fernando Sariñana

Amores Perros was a great movie. I quite liked Y Tu Mama Tambien too and of course the King of weird, Jodorowsky, is Mexican (isn't he?).

I really dislike Swedish movies in general so here´s some hard picks.

In bed with Santa http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0201265/ Great comedy.
The Hunters http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116736/ Thriller, touching.

Hmm can´t really think of any more now.. like some series/comedy shows but since they are´nt movies not listed.

Even films by the great Ingmar Bergman himself? Do black and White 5 hour long philosophical dramas not do it for you!?

I lived with s Swedish girl for a while and her and all her friends loved the film Fucking Åmål...never got to see it myself though so i don't know if it's any good.

Ondskan is a Swedish film isn't it? That was pretty good.

That Fucking Åmål film was popular because it had 2 scenes where 2 main character where 2 girls and kissed each other. That's it of the movie. Yeah Ondskan is swedish and think that one is the only one getting on the top ten on my list. The rest meh screw them.
