BF2S Forums Removing Points Stats Sigline

I never put mine up in the first place.  I can't take my stats seriously since I have two Purple Hearts.  Both gotten by accident.

i just have my medals and badges in my sig since i like shiny things

I really want to find out what server he plays on so i can personally F up his k/d ratio and then heckle him

but hes he uber whore so he would leave after his FR reached 2:1 in the round

Well you take the totals sig out, but hey -- the 'xPM' sig is a decent meassure of actuall skill as it's 'X divided by time'.

Honestly, I think the medals/badges and stuff are cool.

It's really really awesome to see people like Sinnir with the Expert Knife combat badge...anybody who's tried for it knows how tough it is. I play to have fun, but the awards/points/upgrades are like a bonus

I love the game, and the stats as well.  Just like an indicator to me.  E.g. My SPM rises from 1.29 to 1.30 recently and my kill/death ratio is rising too.  I think I am improving somehow.  LOL

My skill sucks.  I am a corporal now because I play quite a lot, 2-3 hours on weekdays.  However, weekends are family days.

Absolutely no disrespect to Chuy or any of the peeps who want to share their stats. This is just a personal thing for me and I'm just making a point. My personal own movement just to state that people should play for the fun of it and not the stats. This is more directed to Stat padders and people who for some reason believe that their stats make them some kind of important person on the forums. Once again I respect people who want to keep track of their stats for personal improvement or whatever. This is just a personal thing for me and I have still much respect for Chuy and the stat recording process. Perhaps in the future I'll change my viewpoints on displaying my stats. However like I said before it just seemed kind of hypocritical for myself to be lecturing on the importance of having fun and not caring about stats and yet I displayed my stats. If you can understand that.

So you types that want to display stats. Go right ahead and keep doing it. More power to you. But for those that display stats and do nothing but gloat about them. Fuck off and go back to the subcultural slime that you somehow evolved from.

Oh you can look up your stats. Hell anyone can lookup my stats considering my sig still has my name and online status and hence also has a link to my stats. Stats are important I understand that. I just choose not to advertise via my sig line that's all. Just a personal statement for me.   BTW the people who get close to 100% with the TV-Guided missle truely are the bomb! Literaly.

Uh...  what?  I never said I was an accomplished hacker or anything.  I was just saying I like to look at mine.  (I mean, I thought the reason people found this forum was because they clicked on the link while looking at their stats.)  I'm kind of confused as to why your upset...

Ahhh. Let me clear that up. I am not upset at you. I am not upset at this forum. Nor am I upset at the stats collected or at the stats shown. I actually believe the stats are a good judge of many skills for those that play honorably. I am not upset at people who show their points on their sig line nor am I upset that it points to this website. More power to Chuy and this great forum and stat scanner.

I AM however upset at those that use the stats they produce via whatever means on the game to their own ego stroking and gloating. I am upset at those that view the game only in the term of points and badges. These are the point whores, the spawn rappers, the cheaters and the whole host of people that are similar and would not be missed if they spontaneously combusted at this very moment.

So once again. My statement which is my own personal statement is to show that "I" don't care about stats. That "I" who does lecture often on the how unimportant stats are in comparison to having fun thought it was hypocritical of "myself" to be listing stats. Hence you have what I have done which is not list stats and instead put a message there.

This is the point of my movement. Is the clearer now?

Hmm...For me, the stats are part of the game, so I pay attention to it. My personal stats aren't too great, but I'm just amazed about the fact you can have your stats as a sig. So I fully use it...don't know, that's what I think. But just like you already said kilroy, it's one of the many things you can decide for yourself, so...whatever
