Let them shrivel and waste away for five or ten years in the hopelessness of their meaningless existence before they are driven insane. They don't deserve anything but the most grievous suffering short of torture.
We need justice reform, I think. Capital punishment is an easy out that criminals of this degree should not receive.

(well, actually, it may or may not be - it's one of those maybe things - it lowers the pressure of the fluid in the eyeball, which might help improve night-vision, but it's never been proven, afaik)
