Trailer is awesome. It doesn't have any game footage, but it's still awesome.

I was disgusted with the franchise when I spent $70 little kid dollars on SF2 only to see them turn around and release the Turbo edition. Damned if that series is sapping any more of my cash.

That was over 15 years ago, it's time to get over it. Plus 70 bucks for SFII? You got hosed.

When it was first out for the SNES, that's what it was. I had to be the first kid on my block with one.

So yeah, I nurse a sore spot against consoles, especially after I saw Doom for one for $70 when I remember it being less than $30 for the PC...a few years before console release.

I could Dragon Punch/counter almost any attack except that spinning 360 pile driver from Zangief fuck that thing was quick.

Ryu was my favorite player.

my first street fighter was EX plus alpha, playstation.. yes Im a young little turd that didn't get the  earlier games, but it was awesome, loved it

I've been craving street fighter for a while, thought it'd fit well with the games of today, too much DOA bouncy chests (well maybe one more look *oggle screen*) too much 3d arena crap that sort of forced SF out for a few years.

Wahey!

Great game! Finally a worthy successor to the early Street Fighter games (I think they peaked at Super - EX was pretty decent, so was Alpha 3 - but the Alpha game mechanics always seemed a bit wrong).

I love it. Been waiting for this for ages.

Actually, I tend to stumble into fighter games with beginners luck and heavy punch spam, somehow dodging fancy sword throwing until the other guy gets pissed off and plucks the cartridge (sorry, it's discs now) out.

Yeah, awesome reviews...but do I really want to spend all my time learning every character's complete set of zillion-button special moves, only to have some Street Fighter 4 Redux waved in front of my face in 2010? And why couldn't I get the collector's edition on PC?

im just a casual street fighter gamer ever since i started back in the 90's. yes i agree with you, there are hadoken, shoruken, ken, sagat, ryu spammers out there , low kick spam and so on. if you get beaten by a spammer, then you have to change your approach.i believe the most irritating part of spamming is watching the same old crap over and over and over. i can care less if they beat me.

as for special moves, it does not matter if your character has 20 special moves or can pulla 50 hit combo. the idea of button smashing is totally extinct except for games like dynasty warriors. ill give you an example, i fought 3 -4 people using Akuma, you know how many i defeated, all 4 with chun li.  and the sad part about it, they were special move spammers. the good street fighter player will try to find where you are not defending and exploit it. they dont  use the same set of move all the time, because sooner or later people start learning. the ultimate idea here is how and when you attack is most important. if your oponent blocks or counters all your moves, your going to get OWNED.... period, no matter if you are a noob, a pro, or a casual gamer.
