I will believe it when i see it. For me, i don't believe any of it. Sorry. So, he is pulling everyone out of Iraq to be put in other countries as you stated above. So really that isn't doing anything but taking soldiers and giving them a change in scenery. I guess i should really change my vote now huh?Turquoise wrote:

You do realize the laughing stock thing primarily came as a result of Bush. Also, it was more specifically Wahhabis that were responsible for 9/11. Wahhabism is a subsect of Islam that is primarily dominant in Saudi Arabia, not Iraq.
The main flaw in Bush's war on terror is that he's directing his efforts towards the wrong countries. The main reason I support Obama is because he has a 16 month withdrawal plan that will allow us to redirect our efforts toward much greater threats like the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He'll also hopefully put some pressure on Saudi Arabia to curb the influence of Wahhabis. So far, I haven't heard McCain address the Taliban issue much. He seems way too focused on Iraq.
if you feel so strongly about the war on terror, why the fuck dont you grow a pair of nuts and enlist in the Army or Marine Corps. Youll do more damage to haji and "keep America safer" doing that instead of insulting veterans on a video game forumsiciliano732 wrote:
how easily you forget 9/11/01. Yea, you know the people who blew the hell outta my buildings. Shut up faggot. Go ahead vote for him, and the US will continue to be a laughing stock, our debt will continue to grow, and more Muslims will invade this country. I for one will sit back and laugh at all the ignorant people (democrats) who will then pass the blame onto someone else and point fingers. Pathetic. What I don't get is... why did we invade Iraq in the first place? I've heard various answers, but none of them hold much weight.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:
I doubt he makes his way back in this thread again. He does that all the time.
I disagree turq (surprise) I believe Bush's main fault was letting rumsfeld run the military show for so long by using a convention force and mindset to defeat unconventional fighters. You need to drastically expand SF ops in these theaters of war in order to be more successful, I think.
Saddam had terror connections no more significant than Iran's. The U.N. wasn't willing to enforce resolutions but it's ludicrous for us to enforce them if they won't back us up. Saddam also may have had WMDs, but the majority of the ones we knew about were ones we sold him.
The whole thing still just reeks of stupidity.
I guess the question I have for you is... Is it really worth staying much longer in Iraq when it costs us around $2 billion a week to maintain operations? If you believe in smaller government, I don't see how you could support something like that.siciliano732 wrote:

we never sold them weapons of mass destruction. private american companies sold dual use materials to iraqis during the 80s. whats more nefarious was the amount of european support saddam was receiving. the nuclear reactor that was destroyed by the israelis was built by the french just to name one.Turquoise wrote:

you know where I stand on the rest of it.
I know where you stand, but I haven't heard you state why you supported the invasion. What was the rationale?GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

I dont. I dont think we ever should have invaded. I believe it was wrong. I felt this way, along with a number of my fellow soldiers, at the time of the invasion. Shit, I was out in the field when my girl at the time called me and told me it started. I couldnt believe it. I was amazed how the American people were so easily led to swallow this.
But, that point is moot. I want to win. I want the guys wearing the same uniform as me to win. I was against the invasion in the first place, but since we are there, Ill want us to be there until we are no longer needed. If that means getting stop lossed and going on a second deployment, so be it.

Well, you may take a noble position in this, but my concerns are monetary. As bad as it is for us to lose soldiers (or to have them thoroughly mutilated by explosions), an even longer lasting effect on us results from the debt we are accruing right now. At $2 billion a week, this is the most expensive engagement we've ever tackled. We're borrowing money from China to fund a nation-building operation that will likely drain us for another decade or so if we continue along the same course.GunSlinger OIF II wrote:

We really can't afford this occupation.
See thats where you are wrong...i support every soldier who has every faught for my freedom to even be able to vote. So if i insulted any soldiers, i am truly sorry. Every soldier i have come across whether on here or in public i make i thank them for their duty. And your right, i have a heart and passion for the armed forces and my country, and maybe i should enlist. I would gladly go over if asked by my country.
your country has been asking since 9/11/01. How easily you forget what they did your buildings. WTF man, call for muslim blood but dont join?!?!?!?!?!?!?!siciliano732 wrote:

I call you a coward. Take your thanks and give them to a vet you didnt call a faggot and questioned his sense of duty or memory.
Your country needs you now. Grow some balls. Follow through with your convictions instead of having other people bleed for your racism.
The reason we went into Iraq was for the same reason we let OJ off.. Put it together and you'll have solved two of the greatest mysteries of all time..
Now what I don't get is siciliano732 and obviously has some very strong opinions of U.S. Politics but yet has an Italian flag under his name? Is New York now a part of Italy?

because i have since, graduated, and am working, established myself and what not...i still am missing where that makes me any less supportive our troops and where they lose my respect? Show me please oh wise one, because by your statements, every other american in this country does not support our troops because they are not over there or enlisted right now, Correct?
And i deleted it because i felt i was wrong for attacking you in the way i did, and felt it would be better to let it be. Thats why. Weird isnt it, i actually tried to be the bigger man rather than arguing with a fool.

ok. It really is pointless arguing with you. Thank you for your service whether you want to accept it or not. Take care of yourself and good luck.
McCain will be the next president.
All the supporters of Hillary will vote for McCain or not vote if Obama get the nomination.

Most redneck will not vote for a black or a woman for president.
In the end, you have McCain for president.

So siciliano732 since you love America and support it, since you didn't join the military I take it that you're a public servant? Like a police officer or a fire fighter?
Oh and I didn't join the military because 1. I didn't like the idea that once you sign the paper work, you basically sign your rights over as a united states citizen..
1. The drug testing, before most drugs hit the population from Johnson and Johnson, and most other companies, they're tested out on the U.S. Military.. My friend right now doesn't have us of his legs or a good percentage of his hands from what he thinks was some medication they gave him in the service.
I am however taking the firefighter test this year, to do my part of service for this country.

What does that have to do with anything? Believe it or not I work in business as an Account Executive for an advertising firm in New York.cpt.fass1 wrote:

I'm asking cause you seem to be bashing a good presidential candidate, who serves the country and calling him a Muslim which isn't true.. I was wondering what you did to serve America?
Oh and bashing our troops as well, I'm sure that Gunslinger knows my feelings about the war but has never felt a personal attack from me, because I support our troops. Just not the war..
