Probably 1 out of 1,000 personal plates are actually cool. The others are usually really lame, so unless you can come up with a real winner I would say avoid looking like a douche and go without. Plus, they are going to make you state what it means and screen out anything vulgar so whats the point.

Don't want to be a douche, but you still want to be cool enough for custom plates.. Just get your last name, assuming that its not taken already.

My uncles got our last name as his custom plate on his Mustang. Looks dope.

I also love Californian plates

Saw a custom plate with "MUHAMMED" in Toronto, Canada.
Only cool custom plate I've seen.

Most custom plates just tell how much of an attention whore the driver is.
