I never tried it before so I was thinking about downloading it and seeing what's it all about.

What version are people playing? I see so many differant ones, I have no idea what is being played?

Is there enough people still playing it to be worth downloading?

THe BF2pro pubs are dead, and so is competitive BF2.

Don't bother. BF2pro was used for TWL, CAL, and other leagues only. People tried to make "pro pubs" for "pro" players to come play in. No one plays in them anymore.

Yup there are quite a new few maps too, which is where it's confusing. A few servers have different version of the maps and it's hard to tell.

Anyone else waiting for TWL S8?

We use ProLadder, a modified BF2pro, btw. Can't remember what it changes

The negative campaign hurts competition. Its seems to throw around negative words twards competition being DEAD, you do seem to care for competing. If the people saying comp is dead were playing in comp, then comp would be 30% more active. Being positive promotes progress.
