Is it better than working out? Do you build muscles if you run like 4 miles a day?
It's two entirely different workouts.ThaReaper wrote:

You also build respiratory endurance and cardiovascular endurance (basically the same thing).
EDIT: When running, I mean. Both are good, aerobic and anaerobic.

cardio workouts such as runs, work the leg muscles and utilize your lungs. But no you wont get buff. Maybe crazy calves. I run 6 miles a day at PT.
Will I lose access fat? Like I have a small slab of fat over my stomach. I want it tight.
yeah, go run.
I might start running on my treadmill then running outside in the summer. Is running inside/outside different?
Well, I do have a pool in my backyard. I'll start swimming once it heats up.SEREMAKER wrote:
yeah you will lose that spare tire .... if you want a better cardio, swim - low impact and works the entire body
ehhhh, i prefer outdoors. its all prefrence. But yeah, swimming is the best. Go do some laps in a pool. Get a workout regiment going. Run on mon, wed, fri and do strength training tue, thur and take weekends to relax.
depends if you run on a track or do some cross country ............. running on a treadmill has its advantages ie set it to go up and down and you don't have to worry about tripping but treads do get boringThaReaper wrote:

tracks are good ... you can feel the wind and on straight aways, sprint them
I drink a lot of water now. I eat a ton of food because of my high metabolism, but I don't know what to eat. Vegetables and fruit?
I prefer swimming. It's relaxing and a GREAT workout.
There's these things, I forgot what they're called...they're like personal swimming stations that are only a little more than the length of your body, and you can swim laps in them because there's a current. They're pretty cool. Totally forgot what they're called. +1 to the person who finds out for me.

Yeah, fruits and veggies. And some protein and diary too. Eating a big breakfast will help you lose weight. Don't eat more calories than you burn off either. Water is good for you, I love cold water, it tastes good.
endless pools and the are awsm, take up little bit of space, cheaper than a reg poolPoseidon wrote:

it DEF builds muscle... my squat went up 90 pounds in a semester just doing stadiums....
Add me on Origin for Battlefield 4 fun: DesKmal
yes^.SEREMAKER wrote:
you tone up and tighten up and shed off the pounds, its different than working out bc its cardio
the only muscles i've built up are my calves. i can't find a calve machine with enough weight on it to actually work out. as a comparison, i'm 5'10 and i bench about 110 on a good day.
Swimming sucks but I'm biased cause I'm no good at swimming
I run for endurance, as well as running stadum stairs to gain some extra strength in my lower body.
