I always liked hockey for this
not for fights
not for fights
I think you're on the concept that fighting is all we care about when we watch hockey. I watch it for the stick handling, the speed, the defense, the body checks, the atmosphere, and the all out intensity.voodoodolphins wrote:

Fighters are some of the most respected people in the league. Almost every time, as I said, they fight for fun and don't hate each other. It's not like they're trying to kill each other or something.
Georges Laraque is not only the best fighter in the league, but one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet in your lifetime.
"Anaheim leads the league with 54 fights."
Hells yeah! I guess I should watch hockey more often

Surprising too, seeing as they're the defending champs.mtb0minime wrote:

Is the fighting actually allowed? Or do they just not give a fuck?
Its allowed and you usually get a 5 min penalty for it.
Surely its better for you team if you dont fight then?TravisC555 wrote:

The penalty doesn't count toward the team, only yourself. Normal penalties (slashing, tripping, etc) would have your team down a man (5 on 4). Fighting just has the two players sit in the penalty boxes for 5 minutes, but it doesn't count against either team.bennisboy wrote:

In Europe it counts against team, but I am not sure, players there hardly ever throw gloves off, but they fight tooPoseidon wrote:
