maybye this 10 tips coud help people hven they have a match.
"This is a couple of tips to help people who are coming to bf2 after COD4, people that havn't played bf2 in a long time and need to brush up on their play or even people who play bf2 but are not used to a 5v5 infantry match situation.
Some of the seasoned players may find quite a few of these tedious, but it can't hurt to have a look!
In no particular order......
1)Medic is king
For 5v5 medic is easily the most important kit, on almost every level. There are always exceptions, such as a commander going sniper, spec ops or noob tube in a good postition, or someone going support for ammo and increased firepower. Generally however the ability to revive people outstrips anything the other kits can do.
2)Use the shockpaddles!
They're there for a reason! You quite often see a medic in perfect reviving range and ignoring the person. Unless you are under pressure or heavy fire, that really isn't on. Even if you have to run a bit, it can make all the difference having an extra 20% of your side alive than not.
3)Protect the squad leader!
In a match, the squad leader is quite often more important than the commander, and can turn the tide providing a sneaky cap or a quick spawn to catch the enemy off-hand. It is therefore essential that he is kept alive at all costs!
4)Listen!
We have lost many matches, both in practise and in TWL, because you cannot hear anything over teamspeak. This has improved quite alot, but it is still important in a match to keep chatter at a minimum, and useful information at a maximum. Bellowing 'ZOMG HE IS TOTALLY REDICULAS!!111111' is not classed as useful.
5)Know the flags
This has many uses. Not only are you more likely to be able to hide from nade fire if you know where or where you cannot cap a flag from, but you are also more likely to be able to nade them, and guess where they are. It is also important to know how long roughly it takes to cap a flag (for example there is a jokingly fast flag cap on the mosque at mashtuur).
6)Spot!
You may have seen someone flanking, but the rest of your team may not. Either spot the person, or if that doesn't sink in, tell them over voice. At the start of a map it is always worth spamming spot as well, you may get lucky, or the guy may ban you from saying anything for 60 seconds .
7)Know how your teammates play
We all know that some players are better than others.... so use it to your advantage. Tractortom may be a better fighter than Issus, but Issus has a better understanding of the english language than Tractor. Therefore if they're on your team, get Issus to cover some ground, so he can react quickly to what you're saying, and get Tractor to attack a flag.
8)Spam medic packs
If there's a large amount of enemies coming, or you're capping a flag, get everyone to put down some medic bags, with 3 people laying 3 bags each, it makes you practically invulnerable to close-proximity grenades and pot-shotting. However be wary that it can work against you, cause they can pick them up too.
9)The guns
In most matches you will either be using the m16 or the ak101 (the ak47 is not on many matches, and is quite similar to the ak101) so know how they handle. If you've spent you're entire bf2 life using the G36E it will take you a while to get to grips with both of them, which is why we say you shouldn't use unlocks when playing on public servers. Make sure you know what their single shot mode is like as well, as they vary quite a lot.
10)Stick together!
2 is always better than one, so if you've been told to attack a point, it is good to stay in close proximity while moving to it. If one is dropped, the other can either provide a quick revive, or pick off the guy who was shooting. (Tip 7 is also helps in this situation.) As soon as you get near a flag however, spread out as much as possible, as a well-placed nade and you could both be in trouble.
I hope this helps people who are new to the matchplay and rusty players as well!"
