I don't speak english natively, but I don't do those errors in the op very often. In fact, I do, as the op, hate those errors. I don't see how people can't learn that. I'm 15, and I speak better english than the averege non-english 30-year-old. The thing I mix up the most is replacing e with a in some words, like differa(e)nce. I at least try to type as good as I can. unlik mny ppl wo typ liek dis.

+1 on the way to op.
Actually you speak better than the average American 30-year-old

I have given this some thought, and I have decided that your wife doesn't care because she has a PhD in the fuzzy sciences of "linguistics" and "phonetics", and by fuzzy I mean that it's an interpretive deal, not a hard science like math or physics. If she had a PhD in literature or English composition she'd clearly have a problem with it. She wants people to "communicate ideas" and the form isn't important to her field of study.

Asking her about proper grammar or form is like asking an artist about the proper way to make an architectural drawing. Have her ask someone with a PhD in English Lit about the way things are done here and web-wide, and she'll get an hour lecture on the deterioration of the English language.
Thank you for giving this some thought and FYI she has a BAhons in english literature and lingiustics and an Msc in speach science so once again i say she is more qualified on the subject than you will ever be.......

the stupid thing with this post is that after a week no one even remembers most of the replies made on here. sometimes i look at my history and i dont even remember half of my own replies.

who cares. if someone doesnt know how to use variations or different words, it only makes them look stupid. it shouldn't effect you. you won't remember and neither shall we.
