I disagree with the call of declaration, Daytona does not deserve to only have 152 laps.

Kyle Busch can barely see the wreck, not to mention the cause, and he spouts off like this (this brings me to another point, Kyles in-car radio during the race...):
http://www.nascar.com/2009/news/opinion … index.html

on the in-car...
and I paraphrase here, but you get the general idea:
" This thing sucks! (meaning the engine) I wont win with this today.  You guys in the shop need to get it togeather...I mean, c'mon man!  We are junk right now."

That little asshole...

Even IF Junior did turn Vickers, if he'd let Junior go instead of forcing him down where he had to fall behind the clearly slower car there'd be no wreck.  So you either have to fault Junior for making a racing move or fault Vickers for blocking a faster car and causing a bad situation.
If there is fault, the Worst that can be said, is that jr. misjudged the distance.  With NO testing....
I'm a jr. fan to be sure.  But I call a spade, a spade.

Carl and Jimmy won the Cup races last year and Tony and Kyle won the Nationwide.  Who's going to take it this year?  Junior didn't have good luck last year with the water seepage on the track, but does have a 5 finishes in the top 10 and 1 in the top 5.  I expect Carl and Matt to be strong and Kyle will be wildly slinging his car around the track as usual.

Yesterday was the anniversary of the death of Dale Earnhardt senior, seen by many as one of NASCAR's greatest drivers.  He was and always will be my favorite driver.

RIP Dale

The anniversary of Dale's passing...
its not a day I like to remember tbh...

Not many humans have impressed me in this life, not enough to call hero...
Earnhardt was mine.

I met my wife the day Dale won the 500 back in 98.  I was drunk as a skunk, whoopin and holler'n hehe
My youngest son was born the day after that day in 2001...we had aleady decided on a first name, and when i suggested Dale as the middle name, she didnt fight me, she knew what I was getting at.

Earnhardt had class, he did everything with style.  He didnt speak much, but when he did, everyone listened.  There isnt a driver...hell, there isnt a personality in the sport that can claim the same quiet thunder that Earnhardt had.

I have enjoyed racing since his passing, but its not the same, and never will be.  Many of my friends stopped watching NASCAR when Dale died...and trust me, the thought crossed my mind to do the same.  The more I thought about it, the more a pounding question came to me...would Dale want racing to, essentially, come to an end just because he wasnt around?  No...
So I try like hell to never miss a Cup race.

Rest in Peace Dale
Keep the shinny side up

I expect Jimmie or one of the Roush boys will make quick work of him.  Have to say I'm not too fond of this track.
