What is this "booster" pack that I am hearing about? Does it cost money and what does it do?

the booster pack will be somewhat like an expansion pack...only not quite. i believe it will cost $10US. the first booster pack will come with two new unlockable weapons for both anti-tank and sniper classes. i think it will also come with some new maps and possibly new vehicles.

Armando: Other than the addition of two new unlock weapons (for the sniper and AT), there will not be more content in the patch. There is a plan for additional content as we move forward, but patches will not be the means of delivering this new content.

The fragland article says the booster packs are expected in spring '06. Also, I don't think you will need to "hold on to" an unlock in anticipation. If they add any more guns, they will have to give people more unlock slots; otherwise anyone at sgt. major / 2LT will never see them.
I am pissed off. It will take me ages to be promoted to First sergant and get new unlocks because I don't play all that often. If that sniper rifle is really good, I will shoot the programmers. I would have unlocked another Sniper Rifle as soon as I could if i had the option, now they're not going to let me have it! What wankers!

Well, in Patch 1.2, the sniper and at unlock would be in it BEFORE the boosters, get the last free crap from EA before pitching in 20 more bucks.
