Awww... Poor Hawks Such a comeback and then an overtime goal.
Their passing game was horrible though. Crawford was the only thing keeping them in the game for that long.
When they couldnt do anything with that powerplay though, you kinda knew it was over.Ultrafunkula wrote:

There was that one pass on PP just across the goal in OT but Sharp shot the puck directly in Luongo's lap.
Good game regardless, game 7, OT. Always makes for hard playing.
Dwayne Roloson <3
Kmar must be freaking.
Also (i'm sure Ken will love this), what a champ Jack Johnson is. Right after the Kings get eliminated he goes to join Team USA in the WC's. Nice.

Bergenheim! Yaybolts & Yaybruins!
Also WC's starting tomorrow. Plenty of good players participating again. Good games coming up.

NHL.com is always slow for me. I rarely use it. I stick to TSN.ca tbh.

For the Caps, they need to keep winning, and that's going to be a significantly more difficult challenge against a Tampa Bay Lightning team that erased a 3-1 series deficit against Pittsburgh to advance to the second round for the first time since it won the Cup in 2004.

Mostly because of Rollie tbh. They're gonna need to pick up the offense for this series if they want to win, and Stamkos needs to stay awake the entire series. The Caps defense is very strong and filled with offensive d-men, and they have an explosive offense to boot.
Tampa's defense didn't impress me at all this series, especially Hedman. They need to pick it up against a Caps offense that can make them cry on demand, and you know Boudreau is hungry for the cup (and a lot of other things). His job's on the line imo, so if they lose this series he might get the boot.

Special teams picked it up man. They had 35 penalties in the Pittsburgh series. The scoring is also pretty well distributed amongst the players. That is very important.Poseidon wrote:

.. and yea Rollie is
Taking the first game on the road is huge. I saw a poll on yahoo sports that had the chances of Tampa winning tonight at 21% ..
Lots of people consider the Caps the best in the East. But when Tampa is rolling it's very hard to stop them.

Caps were wholly unimpressive in the Rangers series. They need a swift kick in the ass.
Tampa's D still looked very lost at times in this game. Brewer is absolutely dreadful and Hedman certainly doesn't look like a 2nd overall pick.. but that 3rd line is something else. I don't miss Bergenheim much, but I'm very glad he found a nice fit with Downie and Moore on the Lightning's 3rd line.
I swear, that team is made up of half former Islanders. Bergeron, Brewer, Bergenheim, Roloson, Thompson: All former Isles. Crazy.

I wouldn't say very lost. Certainly they had their moments. First period was insane.

i was gonna say...
75% of the earth is covered in water. The other 25% is covered by Dwayne Roloson.

awwwwwwwwwwwww yeahhhhhhhhhhh
I really hope Rollie gets his ring... for a 41 y/o, he's in better shape than some people in their 20's. Just don't know if the Lightning have what it takes to take on a powerhouse like Vancouver or SJ. The west is winning the cup this year, I'm pretty certain.
