I'm pretty sure Muhammad did not claim to be God, but rather was Allah's prophet.  Jesus, however, directly asserted He was God.  The confusion for me comes from the fact that Islam recognizes Jesus at all as His assertion that He is God directly contradicts Islam.
Wasn't it actually later Christians who came up with the theory of the Trinity? It was not Jesus. He never claimed to be God on Earth, only the son of God...but then again, he believed we were all sons and daughters of God.

The are thousands upon thousands upon thousands of radicals Islamics spread all over the world, how he hell can they be put to a stop?
Especially since their main "drive" is that the west is trying to conquer "Islamic" countries, and America is giving them a perfect example.
Even if American forces left they would still claim that this "democracy thing" is a tool used by the west, and you can't get them to think otherwise because Radical Islamists are ignorant fucks.

Serge...last time I checked, no other religion in modern times has been responsible for suicide bombing coffee shops, cutting off people's heads, hanging burned bodies off of bridges, killing young women on their way home from school, and killing people for watching a soccer match, etc etc etc.

When you try and compare that to any other religion, it makes you look like a dope.
Everything you listed has taken place here in Ireland. Done by supposed Christians.

suicide bombing coffee shops.............CHECK
cutting off people's heads ............................CHECK
hanging burned bodies off of bridges ........................CHECK
killing young women on their way home from school........................CHECK
killing people for watching a soccer match...............................CHECK

I scored out Suicide, but allot of bombers blew themselves up constructing and planting bombs here. Same for the Baltic states.

So the only difference I can see is that Christian terrorists haven't the balls, commitment or faith in their chosen religion to take themselves out when they do a mass murder.
Was it done in the name of religion?  I do not think so.  I doubt they said "all praise jesus" before they blew something up.
The people who committed the crimes I am talking about did it through hatred for people of a different religion. Some did it as a republican cause to unite Ireland but allot did it through blind hatred, because of religion. They seen themselves as righteous religious 'warriors' protecting their people from the 'Devils Children'. The man who coined that Fraze 20 years ago and labeled the Pope as Satan's representative on earth is now our first minister with his deputy first minister a catholic Ex IRA commander. Both stirred up religious hatred and susceptible young men listened and committed murders. Paisley was no different to the Mullah's who are brain washing young men and women in the Arab world.
I would agree that our problems were 50% Religious and 50% territorial. But I would say its the same in the Arab world. Western Countries are in their lands is 50% of the problem, with Religious hatred counting for the other 50% of the problem. So not much different IMO.

Islam needs to be reformed now. The moderate Muslims no matter what will get caught in the middle as long as the extremist are allowed to blend in with the populace. That is not our fault. That is the extremist fault.
Yes, Islam needs reformation, but it's not the moderate's fault what the extremists do everyday.  They can't stop extremists, all they can do is letting them know they are against their actions.

We need to stop generalizing and making feel them bad about their Religion.  We must fight the extremists, not Islam.  Moderate Muslims need to take distance from extremists and radicals.  If moderate Muslims perceive terrorism as an activity against Islam (not Lowing that's not appeasement again) then extremists will be alone, and they'll end without followers.  This task is easier if moderate Muslims don't feel we think they all are extremists.
In order for that to happen though they have to prove they will take action against the extremists, they rarely publicly speak out against them, or assist in their capture etc.
Assist in their capture you say?  Would you do it?  I mean those wackos are assholes and don't care if you are Christian, Jew, Muslim, if you get in the middle they'll kill you.  So, a regular Joe can't do much about them.
Then who's left, the military and the UN. The UN isn't exactly going to do anything, so that leaves the military. But if they took a stand against the extremists in their religion they wouldn't get as bad a rap. They want it to stop they have to pull their weight.

Actually he claimed he was God, but made the distinction he was not the Father or the Holy Spirit. There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. And no people are not children of God, they are are children of wrath.

The trinity is preached in the Bible. The term however wasn't coined until later.

All "Religious Violence" is actually driven by economic or political factors. People who don't understand how the economic and political factors apply to the situation say that "their killin' eachother cause they is different religions", which is mostly not true.
