I can hear other people's weaponry, but not my own. This has just happened and I haven't changed anything.. any ideas?

I wouldn't try re-installing quite yet how many times has it does this? This happens to me once in a while and a simple re-boot usually fixes. If all else fails I would save your profiles, screen shots, vids ect and re-install. Good luck.

agreed. I get it too sometimes, I close BF2, re-opn, usually works fine.  If not, a simple restart does it.

this is cod4, not bf2.

no jk, try checking sound files or something, afaik, its possible to even disable certain sounds (music which can't be turned off, stupid)

look if they are even there, or check sound card, idk.

thats what i was thinking: but i don' know if you can access the actual IWD files through the disk.

OR, you could go in, and edit out whats bad and whats good..but then again, just reinstall and repatch, 20 mins max.

lol...5.1 sound for the lose! I have my speakers set to balance more so to the rear. And sure enough, I heard really fake gun sounds from my gun. Turned it round so that it was medium-rear balance and the gun sound was normal again.

Idiocy. It's a nuisance.
