/agrees.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

That's actually pretty funny. Texas, way down there, at that temperature- That's roughly how bad it is in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It really helps to emphasize how great Vancouver is compared to the rest of Canada.

It's our worst winter in years, and we're suffering temperatures as low as -6 C / 22 F. I've never been so cold in my entire life. I felt I would have died. We just received four inches of snow last night- Much more than our usual one day of snow per winter (read: slush). We've had snow for roughly six days this winter, with actual snow.

We laugh at the rest of Canada with their incredibly cold temperatures and tonnes of snow. Sure, we can't withstand the temperatures that the rest of you boast, nor drive in a few inches of snow while the rest of you think it's no problem, but we don't particularly care. We have a palm tree and flower count coming up in Victoria next month.

Best weather in all of Canada. I love it. Everyone else suffering from winter should come here, to the best city in the world!

dam that is cold. How do you cope? Here in scotland, where I stay, it barely goes below -1 at the worst of times. If it does drop to this temperature, people usually cant cope and cant get into work because of icey roads.
Well, we just dont go outside on days like these tbh.
And im also sick so i can actually have an excuse for being a lazy bum

Lol, Nah its even a little cold for that my friend. Usually I dont play (I dunno about other people) below -20. Then it just kinda gets pointless and not fun because its too cold.

Actually its been 7 years, I know this as the last time i went properly aborad was a trip to florda then in january 01, it snowed in the everglades *facepalm*

As I'm going again in april expect either tsunamis, asteroid strike or the apocalypse simply due to my existence there.

Meh I enjoy it when it gets cold here, on the mountains it's easy to find temps well below that though. Dunno what you mean by people can't drive in four inches of snow, in the BP's you have to be able to otherwise you would be screwed almost every time it snows even a little hard.

*Edit* I suppose living at the top of the BP's does give me a hell of a lot more snow than 98% of Greater Vancouver though.

...you call 22F suffering? In DC we've hit 13 before at night

edit: The worst fucking part about winter in DC is there's no benefit from the cold. It rarely snows enough in DC to close school so basically it's just cold and windy and a fucking bitch to go outside.

If you've ever felt the "west coast" cold.. You'd know the difference.

I know people who have came from Alberta use to like -20 C and below, and they say the cold here is totally different because of the Humidty and stuff... It goes right through you hear.. its the wet cold, not the dry cold.

I knew before that you came from Calgary, each time i look at someones name, i always looked from where they came from, the reason why I put fuck America, is cause each fucking time I go into different threads, I see some kids from America having school off at -30, thats fucking bull shit, I have to intill its -45 or lower to finally have school off, this whole season i havnt got one! Not one! And im so pissed that people that complain cause its going to be below zero (OMG ITS GONNA BE FREEZING!) When I read that, i little part of me dies a little inside. Then I go and check my TV, when it says its -30 to 45 dagries celcius.

And i know im a straight open target for saying "Cry some more" ex... But thats why there is a word that is called "Rant" just as I posted before.

and btw, I live in Manitoba, not the Yukon, or Nunavut.
