I don't get it. Why tease me like that. The M-14 is a fully automatic rifle. The M-1A is the semi-automatic version. They got the M-21 right though. I'm not trying to be a douche about it, all I'm saying is that it would be fan-fucking-tastic to have it like it should be in multiplayer. Based purely on it's specifications, which is the only thing that matters in video games, it would rape asshole. Yea, remember the G-3 in singleplayer? It's that guy, on crack. If only.
Why does the M4 and M16 still fire on burst/auto without a Gas block? They messed up a couple things.
Oh god.mcjagdflieger wrote:

Imagine the boredom hardcore would become then. EVERYONE would have a G3.

They could have called it the PP-19 if they wanted to. They made the game it's not like they're restricted to name something a certain way.
Touchy. And does anyone know of a thread for talking about shooting, you know, about going to ranges, what they shot, why jerkoff hicks shoot at my tennisballs that they watched me place downrange, in an obvious place that you shouldn't be a dickhead and fuck with other peoples shit, when I'm holding a loaded M-4, etc ?
They are certainly entitled to do that, but they got the rest of the gun names right i think.Johnny_Extremer wrote:

You mean M-14 right? And yes, sadly it's probably true. Am I the only one that can't stand to use any one gun for too long? That makes it so boring for me. I'm constantly changing my shit, it's fun messing around with the different tactics that each gun excels in.Spark wrote:

because game developers aren't the most knowledgeable people when it comes to firearms.
look at bf2. the m24 and m11-87?
look at bf2. the m24 and m11-87?
Why was CS Source's AK47 called a CV47? There can be a lot of legal issues on this as far as I know..
Aren't they both real guns?Reciprocity wrote:

Both, really. those weapons in automatic would be painful. Maybe not the M14 so much (what with the recoil on it), but seeing the G3 in SP and remembering that that is a 1 shot weapon on hardcore WITHOUT stopping power... nah. Too much.mcjagdflieger wrote:

the m24 is the army's long action sniper weapon system. the m40 is the marine's short action sniper weapon system.nukchebi0 wrote:

the 11-87 is a semi-automatic shotgun built by remington. the marines prefer the pump action mossberg 590A1 shotgun and benelli m4 semi-auto.
Oh. Thanks for the clarification.Reciprocity wrote:

Yeah CS did that because of legal issues, they could have gotten sued for using the real names without permission. They can probably call them by the real names since it is a respectable franchise now.kylef wrote:

Had it as my service weapon in the Norwegian army, it was accurate as hell on single shot but on full auto it kicked like a mule, completely inaccurate!Spark wrote:

fully auto M14's dont hit shit in real life maybe? Might as well have a light saber.
That and they would have to pay to use the proper name.Johnny_Extremer wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
The buy menu has the fake names, but the console has the real names? When you get a kill you see the true names in the console. For example: "Tom killed Earl with m4a1" instead of Maverick Carbine.Johnny_Extremer wrote:
