Stats reset but keeping rank??

Probably a question that is already been asnwered but I couldn't find it so fast.

But how come some players got a reset and keep there rank and some people have to start all over?
Because I don't care if my main account gets a reset but I keep my rank, then I can wipe the '05 and first few months of '06 away

No but serious, why is that?

I've always thought that hackers got completely reset while stat-padders and wall glitchers got reset but kept their rank.

I could be wrong though.

Its a reset glitch. Sometimes when EA send in a request to erase the stats it bugs up and will only reset certain parts of the stats.

its when your stats get reset while your playing the game... i think thats what i got told by someone who had it happen
