Yeah its fine, except I cant get the mother fucking mobo out now. The one screw is sitting there, acting like its loose, but not coming out of the fucking hole, so the fucking motherboard is still stuck on the fucking case!!!GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

If I lived in US, I would help you by testing the cpu in a different mobo. but I live in EU....
Don't worry. just unscrew all the other screws and then pull the mobo out there. the brass thing came off the case. that's why it seems like the screw isn't coming out.Commie Killer wrote:

Hopefully that new mobo will work, and you get your comp up and running. First build is always special.
I'll just lol if the problems is the cpu or PSU...

I had to skip ahead like 7 pages to see how this ended.
Classic.
Classic.
Aren't you (OP) rich, though? In that case, it doesn't matter.
I stopped reading on page 7 two days ago, I thought your machine was actually going to make it
I feel you commie, you better learn from this

Aint rich, and I just got the new mobo, I am gonna try this again. Any other advice besides dont fuck up? BTW, what are the chances I already fucked up another piece of hardware.?nukchebi0 wrote:

Most hardwear is some what protected and should refuse to work if something aint right, Processors can take quite a pounding before they die, ram can aswell, graphics card shouldnt be aproblem as it never really started, power supply will be fine. The only thing i can really see that would be a problem is if the processor shorted from the thermal paste, but as far as i know that stuff dosnt conduct electricity, only heat(could be majorly wrong of course) any way, good luck.
Ive been told that Artic Silver 5 does conduct electricity, due to its high concentration in silver.
It is made to resist electricity as best it can, but it can still conduct electricity if it is on a good electrical connection to begin with, and if you use enough. I can almost guarantee the CPU is toasted, but we shall find out...-=raska=- wrote:

And CommieKiller...advice to not screw it up? Er, try reading instructions this time.
Alls working, just got one problem, I wanna change the resolution, there isnt a option on the monitor to change it, I have Windows Vista 64 bit. It kinda sucks at 800x600.
Right click desktop and go to nvidia control panel. Or right click and go to "personalize" and then "display settings" at the bottom.
