Anything is better than Internet Explorer, unless it's Safari.

Firefox is what I use, I tweaked a whole bunch of stuff in it tom make it go faster and I use every part of it.  I would definitely recommend it over IE any day.

Firefox with 'faster fox', down them all, adblock plus and 'clean & close' (for the download window) is the best browser.
You don't have anything you don't need or want and it's nice and clean.

I didn't like Opera one bit when I tried it. Too much crap...

Really? I see no crap on Opera.... just good integrated tools. Unlike FF, where you have to download the plugins. What is there to bet that FF copies Opera with speed dial in the next release ( a plugin already exists, ha ).

I use both, I use Opera as my main browser and FF as a side browser.

I'd switch to Opera, but I am happy with my personal customization of Firefox and have grown used to it (especially the likes of gBookmarks!)

Try it!

Firefox is more secure, has nice features, lets you  tune it easier and loads faster

I hate the old 'x copied y from z'. If speeddial is a handy feature which is popular in Opera, and a popular FF extension, why not implement it?
Or do you want to have a browser not improve?
Firefox is far from perfect, but IMO, Opera is much further from perfection.

Everyone has their opinion. Except for the IE users.

I don't give a damn if some company copies a good feature to their product. It's often implemented better and do you honestly care if someone else did it first? (don't have a clue what speed dial is though)

I only want the plugins I want, nothing else. Takes me a whole 5 minutes to get my browser exactly as I want it.
No need to use an inferior product to save that time.

Edit: like this?

Doesn't look too groundbreaking. I prefer to use the quick links under my adress bar, always at hand and much better.
I just click a link with the middle mouse and BAM the site loads in a new tab.

I loathe i.e from a personal perspective as i hate its layout so I use opera as my main browser as its great once you've grown properly accustomed to it, personally my favourite things about it are the speed dial, the widgets (I always use the calculator ones) and its high lever of customisability with its layout. I use firefox 2 as my side one for things where i feel i need the slight speed increase or when viewing pronz as its more secure and you can link in a Ccleaner button to remove all traces of, um....unsavoury things.

By the way, Speed dial is what comes up on opera when you press new tab, it has 9 boxes that you can turn into links to web pages, they show a minaturized view of the web page which you can tell to update at regular intervals. You can set what ever the site you want in 2 clicks.

Anyone want to provide a demonstration?

edit: nevermind

Regardless of if you actually wanted them or not.

Customisation ftw.
Do you have to use them if you don't want to...?

Anyways, use whatever you want. No need to start hating me because I disagree with you on this subject.

Opera is great! Its been out since 1996 and is the best web browser there is. Its been proved to be the most fast and most secure there is. END!!!

Firefox gets me to a site seemingly instantly (unless the server is laggy), why would I want it any faster?
How do you prove it's the most secure browser? Wouldn't mind a link to proof.

Opera's own site +

Good going.

I don't honestly give a fuck, use which ever you like.

Why have crap you don't need in the core when you can have a relatively lightweight core and a whole lot of extensions?
Yes, FF has up to now failed the lightweight core, but FF3 is alot lighter and easily outpaces Opera. It also passes Acid2 perfectly (I tested it).

I like how it downloads files.  I would lose files all the time downloading with IE.  Firefox FTW.

IE7Pro for IE7 provides a very FF-like download manager.

It's the exact same with Opera 9.5, so there is no comparison. Both browsers are giong lightwieght in their next major released.
