would this mobo be ideal for the e6750 ive just brought ?
I would recommend Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R. I heard that those Abits aren't so good.

or if you can afford, an Asus P5E or EVGA 780i SLi.

AMD will have a tough 2008, but I think they'll manage.. After all they dominated the market for gaming for quite a while too it's just a market of losing and winning at times.
I hope they do just to keep prices low and better things coming out
I hope they do too, else Intel will be market leader and prices won't be as good for us anymore..

Be sure to get a mobo that will support the new Penryn Quad cores if you plan to upgrade to something 50 times better when its at a suitable price.

Just installed an E6750 three days ago with the stock heatsink and arctic silver. Runs at a very cool 23C. Very Easily OCed (I haven't) if you want. Runs exceptionally fast in stock condition. I highly recommend it.

cheers protein rage...im glad its so highly recommended to think i was gonna go wit the amd i posted at the start of this thread, how exactli do u overclock the cpu, wat software etc...im fine wit building my system but not with o/c.

is the stock heatsink anygood ...because generalli wit the pc's ive made in the past they provided fan etc have been terrible an an extra more capable one needed. I understand tht the cpu itself is quite old now ...but still by the rave reviews its got and it sucesfullness after a year im beginnin to see tht ive made right decision.

just cant wait till its done now
