I am a every now and then player. I am just about to get 2500 points, these are pretty much ALL from normal BF2. Now, if I play SF when I get promoted, can I choose an unlock from SF to bring to BF2? OR do I need to gain a certain amount of points while playing SF exclusivly? I am sort of confused on how this works. Second question is, is the L85A1 a good unlock for medic? Or should I go with the G36E?
you will be able to unlock SF weapons as soon as you get the points. G36E would be my choice for 99% of the situations. The L85A1 is a great anti sniper weapon though.

After a certain rank you get 2 unlocks per rank-up.
I don't know the exact rank but you have probably reached or passed that point and will have 2 waiting for you to unlock. Not 100% sure about that though.
The G36E is the best 'upgrade' out of any of the unlockable weapons (and also one of the best weapons in the game), unfortunately you have to get the L85 first - which is a shite weapon. My other choices for my first unlock would be the DAO-12 (the 2nd best upgrade as it is waaaaaaaay better than the puny SMG's) and the M95 (a huge improvement over the MEC and PLA sniper rifles) What you should unlock all depends on what your favourite classes are.

Sorry but are you referring to the L85? If i want to snipe someone i will use a sniper rifle, nothing is any substitute (certainly not the L85) I'd much rather have my G36C - its accurate with every shot, unlike the L85 - if your target is running you certainly dont want to be missing due to lack of the weapons accuracy.emperorphoenix wrote:

G36E is the best gun in the game in my opinion.. unlock it
L85 is a nice all purpose rifle for the medic... sniping, support or close combat - It's a great rifle, but I guess most people don't know how to use it...
There are many choices and many will give a better upgrade though - Those G36 (C, E and the the MG36) seems to be very nice... None of these are Win/Win weapons - plz remember that...

Go take the kits from causalities (press G) until you find the weapon you want to try. You can take the kit from friend or foe alike - its like a free trial offer.
Since I usually play medic, sometimes a fellow squad member will grab my kit when I get killed and revive me. I then use his kit. If he wants his kit back, I'll just pick up another kit. Seems like there is never any shortage!

Thanks guys. So you need to unlock the battlefield weapons before having the choice to unlock the SF ones? Because last night I played and got "promoted". So now I messed up any chance of getting a SF weapon until my next rank! Although the only one I could have gotten was the SCARL since I unlocked the G36C. Oh well. So if you guys are looking to get a SF weapon, do you watch your stats and when you get close switch over to SF? Thanks for the answers
