Gaming PC at Costco

Costco (major US membership warehouse retailer) is now selling iBuypower gaming computers. I understand iBuypower has disappointed some folks in the past, but Costco has a great return policy which eases my mind about buying a computer from them. I also got some gift certificates from Costco for the holidays so I would come out of pocket about $600 to buy this machine.

I have 2 questions, 1) will this play BF2 and COD4 (which I don't own yet) on high settings and is it a good deal for the money? I suppose I could always upgrade the video card in the future as it looks like the weak link, or will I get BF2 on all high settings with it?

So about average huh? OK, I've never put one together myself but have a buddy who did so maybe I'll wait a bit and hit newegg to put together a really good system.

If you fear buidling a computer...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227041 this might be an option. However, i really recommend 4 gb of ram for vista.

I ran BF2 on high with similar specs (ive upgraded though) but u wont get COD4 on high...

personally its not to bad (especially for the price) but that video card needs to be thrown out the window...

8800 would be ideal... but i mean i run crysis and COD4 on high with a 1GB OC'd 8600GT... and u can pick one of those up for $150 AUD

CPU's and RAM do make a noticeble difference in a computer. Try pairing up an 8800Ultra with an AMD 3000+ and 1GB of 466Mhz ram.

No, because the card sucks.

I have CoD4 as low as possible at 1440x900 just to get smooth enough frame rates to play with this card (waiting for a step-up)

Not everybody knows how or cares (/has time) to do the proper research. In cases like these, I point my finger at Dell, which pretty much has the most solid pre-built PC's I've ever encountered for the price range.
