You don't let off, do you? Or can't you let a tongue-in-cheek comment be exactly that?

It's like that one movie, where the big assed hurricanes come and cover the whole globe. Then a huge tidal wave washes over New York city, the kids get trapped in a library, and their dad makes a heroic attempt to come and save them. That is how global warming will create an ice age. You can learn a lot from movies. lol

Good O'l western Australia.

You know this is most probably incorrect and silly, but in the movie the day after tomorrow
it shows the super storms and how they affect America and the northern hemisphere with an ice age,
but i noticed Australia stayed the same. Would Aus even get an Ice Age?

Seriously 2142 IRL.

But I dont know what to think now, I figure that in 40 years (if I make it that long) Ill really know if im wearing shorts, or a parka. But until then its all accusations and scientists fighting over the consequences of our Carbon Emissions...

Hell no.

Too far north (unless you live in Tassie)

And plus the location relative to all the other continents puts us in a singlularly warm environment.

If all fails, well, the majority of the country IS baking desert.

Nope, I'm winter-intolerant. I'll die of hypothermia once the gulf stream goes.

Or just flee southwards.

Apparently Australia is going to be hot still. You're not doomed

Perhaps hotter.

Maybe with the gulf-stream shutdown less heat will be carried away from here, as the overall heat distribution is still neutral - one place gets colder, one gets hotter.

O'course I don't have a shred of evidence to back this up, but it's an interesting proposition.

From Europe, you mean? Nothing to worry about. It happened 50 years ago, and the result was the Snowy Hydro Scheme.

Read: The Weather Makers by Tim Flannery, last year's Australian of the Year.

Superb book on Global Warming, covers basically everything there is to cover. Much better than anything Al Gore ever came up with.

If the global warming theory is correct, then it would bring about an ice age.  I'm guessing most here won't understand that.

I've seen that ad on THIS site.  Going to abandon this place?
Haha, of course you have. If the crap you spew hasn't driven me off yet, that banner here wouldn't have a chance. Luckily diversity is predominant here, unlike the site linked to.

I'd rather the weather stay as-is, no hotter and no colder thanks.

I've looked at the ice age charts. It usually takes glaciers some time to spread across the planet.

That's why glacial is sometimes a synonym for slow.
