i patched up b4 i formatted and the game wouldnt even launch.
You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.

hm, Slayer the partycrusher again, but the NFS:PS cars dont look very good imo. It´s not about the tuning stuff, but if I compare those pics to cars from Forza Motorsport2 I must say Forza´s cars looks waaaaaaaaaaay more realistic (even pimped up) than those things. Sry.

Have I ever mentioned that Forza2 is way better than any NFS?!

I know, its weird,in the tuning mode, they dont look that good, but in the actual race mode they look almost photo realistic (altho some look better than others)

PGR4 is so arcade, even NFS series is more realistic... Forza2 has the best realism, pimping mode and tuning options. It´s the best car/racing game atm (imo)

ATM DiRT has the best damage simulation and realistic dring of the PC games I have tried...

Juiced 1 had some pretty good realistic elements too...

Rented out NFS for 2 days, and did the first 4-5 tourney's.  Good game and all, I just found that it was a little to easy to dominate the races, and even then, was a little to tight for cash to upgrade my car's.

Forza has its good and bad points, but Id probably go for NFS over it

true about the difficulty, but you can race each event over and over again, 40,000 / 50,000 each time with some. enough money do buy your stuff.

It gets WAYYYY more difficult after a couple of showdown races,im stuck atm.

By the way, slayer,NFS is realistic enough to not ruin the gameplay.By that,I mean that a lot of realism=less gameplay and fun.

Forza2 is awesome indeed,but I find NFS:P more entertaining.

Minus the pimping mode, I'd have to say that GT4 still rules as a race simulator. I played Forza2 a bit, but wasn't that impressed by it, GT4 just felt so much more complete to me. In my opinion, the only racing game that will beat out GT4 is the upcoming GT5.

Also, I can only take arcade racers in small doses. I hate being able to take ridiculous turns at like 200 mph.

Sorry for the derailment, just needed to put in my 2 cents.

Also, nice cars.

My corvette in FM2 can do 0-400kph in about, 8-9 seconds.  Needless to say, the straightest track i can find is New York, but I have to brake really early.

/no more derail, i promise

/suggests slayer sets up a FM2 thread

The best NFS ever was MW,,
disagree, the  best NFS game was High Stakes on windows 98... still have it.. what a game.

But do you guys recommend this one?
Wholeheartedly recommend.

aimless wrote:

This game looks beautiful, but how is it on the realism scale? Is it more of an arcade racer or are there some actual physics going on?
More realistic than previous NFS titles.  Physics system is quite good.  Tuning your ride nets immediate performance after installing upgrades.  You can fully tweak the whole car … engine, suspension, drivetrain, brakes, and aerodynamics. Don’t forget the appearance stuff like wheels, body kits, spoilers, vinyls, decals, etc

Suspension:
Front Shock Compression Rate
Rear Shock Compression Rate
Front Shock Rebound Rate
Rear Shock Rebound Rate
Front Spring Rate
Rear Spring Rate
Ride Height
Front Roll Bar Stiffness
Rear Roll Bar Stiffness
Front Tire Pressure
Rear Tire Pressure
Toe
Camber
Caster
Streering response ratio

Engine:
Cam Timing
Start Boost
End Boost
Nitrous Pressure
Nitrous Jetting flow Rate

Drivetrain:
ratio for all gears

Some have complained that the cars don’t handle and I shared their concern playing the demo.  However, when I played the actual game and tuned my first car, I no longer felt that way.  Damage is impressive when the detail is all the way up … parts flying off (including hood and doors), glass shattering, body mangled in all sorts of interesting ways.   Anyone who enjoys driving games will like this game if they don’t come in biased against the series.  Even then the fun will win you over.
