Well a few weeks ago, one of my mates used my pc to download some programs. He told me it was 100% safe and legal. And today i got a virus alert because of a trojan horse, i am using Symantec AntiVirus, allthough i can't really delete it, i can only put it in a iso-area where they're harmless.
The most of this files are called appcompat.txt. But i cant find out where they are, and now i fear i will have to totally reformat my hard drive.
Do you know any thing i could do against that shit?
Help pls!!!

Thanks in advance.

Long story shot, use AVG.
I don't use it, but hundreds of other users do, and you will get hundreds of replies saying 'Use AVG'.

I saved you the hassle.
