Well, this a new problem that I have just come across today. BF2 works perfectly when I start up, then I load up to a server and hit "Join Game". Then when I try to pick a class and spawn point nothing responds. Everything else is working, I can see people running by on the camera, hear comms like "Enemy infantry spooted" or "Thanks, much appreciated", and the kill screen up on the top left works like normal as well. My mouse cursor doesn't move, and nothing happens when I hit the keys on my keyboard. I have tried alt+tabbing out and back in, I end up having the ctrl+alt+delete and close down the game, however when I look at task manager is says BF2 is running fine. I tried re-installing the game and patch, and I manually updated PB and gave all PB files inbound and outbound access and I still get the same problem. Thanks in advance for the help.
Yeah, had once happened to me,then I found out that all my game settings were erased
It could be that.Go to options, and see if everything is fine there.

Hmm, is there something I should try in the program files, cause I have checked everything in-game and it still won't let me choose a kit and spawn point. Another thing, the map that shows up beside the kit selection part doesn't finish opening up all the way. The far left side of the spawn selection maps doesn't actually show the terrain it just shows those out of bounds diagonal lines.
maybe its your graphics card , i dunno .
Open Battlefield 2-> Options -> Controls -> Reset to Default in the bottom left corner.
That should, should, work - but if it doesn't, delete the Profiles folder in My Documents\Battlefield 2\

Yeh its happened to me before also. The only fix was to reinstall ,although i didnt try a repatch first , that might be worth a shot ..
Alright, going into program files and deleting the profile folder, and then going in-game and re-setting everything other than my video settings got it to work again, thanks for everyones help.
