Very well worth getting one, if you have friends who play the game or any game that is compatible with using the mic it helps you out, communicating throughout a game with team mates is a plus, and a good laugh. Download teamspeak or ventrilo their free to use.

I'd get one. Serious advantage when in a squad, or when commanding. Easier to communicate, that is always great in a fast-paced game.

Hey guys thanks, i just got one, microsoft live talk? it was $40, but well worth it, it works amazingly, yeah i could have gotten one for less but now this is practically lifetime (for as long as i actually continue playing bf2) and it was xmas, eh? lol again thanks...

Mine doesn't work in BF2, and to be heard on TS/Vent/Xfire, I have to cover the mic and scream.
